FAMILY GRANT PROGRAMS
Many children with Asperger Syndrome could benefit greatly from services and programs which can incur significant financial expense for the average family. AANE has the pleasure of providing easy access to financial assistance for families WHO LIVE IN NEW ENGLAND and need a little help paying for these services. We have several options for people seeking financial aid, as listed below.
Actual monetary availability may vary seasonally between individual programs; if your application for one program cannot be sufficiently funded, AANE will automatically transfer your application to another program with similar requirements. In the event of a general lack of funds, we will hold on to your application and process it as soon as possible.
AANE has been awarded a grant from the Edwin Phillips Foundation to provide cash assistance to families with children with Aspergers Syndrome and related disorders living in Plymouth County, MA. Supplemental funding was received in December from the Phillips Foundation. This program is now accepting applications from families.
In addition to giving grants through AANE, the foundation provides grants directly to families who have children with disabilities, including physical and cognitive disabilities. These direct grants can be for more expensive projects or services such as computers and home modifications. Please contact the Phillips Foundation at PO Box 610075, Newton, MA 02461-0075.
The Doug Flutie, Jr. Foundation for Autism has once again renewed its grant to continue the Doug Flutie, Jr. Family Grant Program at AANE. We are pleased to announce that Flutie Grants are now available to moderate- and low-income families of children with AS and closely related diagnoses. Applications for this program are now being accepted. Thanks to the generosity of the Flutie Foundation.
Family Grants Program at AANE
Funds are now available for a new Family Grant Program supported by a private donor and an anonymous foundation. All grants submitted for the Flutie Family Grant Program will automatically be considered for this program. New applications will also be accepted for this program and will be considered on a first come, first serve basis as additional grant money is received from the donor.
