| This is an allegory of power. It illustrates the story of the contest between the Sun and the North Wind to see which was stronger. The winner would be the first one who could make a traveler remove his overcoat. Though the North Wind blew as hard as he could, the traveler only huddled his coat tighter around himself. But the Sun had simply to send down his warm rays to the traveler, and he removed his coat at once. | Please note, all of these prints contain paper which
is not acid free. They may fade or yellow over time.
Chine collé is a method of printing in which a layer of colored paper is adhered to another background layer in order to show different colors beneath the ink. If you have questions, or to place an order, contact me at nydamprints@rcn.com. |
