The Consulate General in New York generously sent me lots of information on Trinidad and Tobago to assist in the development of my Trinbago pages. One item they sent was a book titled David Frost Introduces Trinidad and Tobago which features articles on every aspect of T&T culture. I was quite impressed with an article written in 1975 by Merle Hodge titled, The Peoples of Trinidad and Tobago, and decided to obtain permission from the publisher (André Deutsch Limited, London, England) to reprint it on the Web, which I did in December 1995. In December 1996, I came across yet another article, simply titled People, written by Merle Hodge on the people of Trinidad and Tobago in Insight Guides: Trinidad and Tobago. Because the article is more recent than the one published in David Frost's book, I contacted the publisher (APA Publications, London, England) to gain permission to reprint it on the Web. Decide for yourself if, in the author's opinion, relations among the peoples of Trinidad and Tobago have improved or worsened.
