Milford Extension Road between Store Bay and Pigeon Point	I stayed at this wonderful, small hotel (31 rooms) during my trip to Tobago in May 2000. This beach-front hotel is only a three minutes' drive from the airport and is in easy walking distance to both Store Bay Beach and the highly-popular Pigeon Point Beach. Rooms are tiled, air conditioned, cable TV, hot and cold privite shower and telephoned serviced. You can choose between the Standard Room ($US84), a Standard Ocean View Room (with small terrace, $US90) and the Superior Ocean View Room (with sundeck, $US102). We stayed in the Superior Ocean View Room. The view from the sundeck was spectacular. My husband really enjoyed playing against the locals on the hotel's pool table. Speyside	Take 60 steps up Mortelle Alley on Top Hill Road, Speyside and you will find Top Ranking Hill Guest House. Hosts Max and Ann Davidson provide 3 spacious and comfortable self-contained apartments with views of the valley and ocean. Also, a mini-mart and glass-bottom boat tours are arranged. Speyside	Country Haven Guest House, situated on the hills overlooking scenic Speyside village at the heart of Tobago's best scuba diving region and the oldest rain forest reserve in the western hemishere. James Holiday Resort Sandy Point	The units are about as varied as you can get within walls of concrete but the Tobagonian owners are friendly and you're close to the action without being right in it. Mike's Store Bay Road	Excellent value and two minutes from the airport, this busy Tobagonian-owned place has small but clean and inviting one- and two-bedroom apartments with air-conditioning, TV and kitchenette. Plaza Guesthouse Friendship Estate Milford Estate Canaan	Very basic rooms in a down-at-heel but friendly Tobagonian-run guesthouse right on the road. You pay for what you get; a bed, fan and maybe an ensuite bathroom. US$10-20	Not yet available
Store Bay Local Road Bon Accord	Recently built to palatial splendour by its Tobagonian owner, this is one of the prettiest hotels in the area with brightly flowered landscaped gardens and grassy lawns, a large pool, restaurant and bar. Rooms are spanking new with phone, TV, air-conditioning, hairdryer and patio; some have a kitchenette. Staff are genuinely friendly and the place shines. Jemma's c/o Stacy Thomas Black Rock PO	Tucked behind Turtle Beach, this three-bedroom Tobagonian-German run outfit is beautifully decorated with rattan furniture and a nice verandah outside. Richmond Great House Belle Garden	Built of solid brick and whitewashed board in the eighteenth century, the house itself was the great house of the old Richmond sugar estate, and offers fantastic views over the rolling, jungle-smothered interior hills. It's now owned by Professor Hollis Lynch, a Tobagonian who lectures at Columbia University, and his extensive collection of African art and textiles is on display. Sea Level Second Bay Road Castara Village	This joint German/Tobagonian owned guesthouse is the largest (and newest) in the village. All rooms have a balcony, spacious bathroom, mosquito nets and fan; some have bunk beds for the backpackers while others have doubles and twins. Excellent value.
