Hosts Evelyn Harris and Jeanne Toombs discuss size discrimination
with Pamela Holowich who was flying from Los Angeles to Chicago
and was supposed to change planes on the same airline in Phoenix.
In Phoenix she was asked to buy a second ticket because of her size.
She successfully sued the airline. The show starts out with a skit of
size discrimination when applying for a job. Evelyn Harris plays
the job applicant and Hugh McLaughlin plays the hiring manager.
This show won first prize in the category of Public Affairs for a
Community Volunteer in the Eight Annual Massachusetts
Community Television Contest conducted by the Massachusetts
Cable Television Commission in 1992.
