WHO AM I? |
- A manager experienced in motivating a large organization to get the best performance in good times and bad.
- A Businesswoman. As a former vice-president of a pharmaceutical company, I am experienced in developing budgets and controlling costs. I managed a budget comparable to that of the Town of Lexington.
- A mother and a grandmother committed to our public schools.
- A three term member of the Board of Selectmen, a dedicated participant in the community.
|
WHY AM I RUNNING AGAIN? |
Having lived in town for 35 years I want to apply the experience of my nearly 30 years in town government including nine years as a selectman to address the challenges facing Lexington today. I will:
- Make the right decisions to weather the current economic storm without damaging the fabric of Lexington, the set of services that distinguishes our community.
- Bring together people of varying points of view with trust and respect to address common concerns and achieve consensus.
|
WHAT DO I BELIEVE? |
- I believe the strength of Lexington depends on the diversity and continued participation of all citizens to achieve a sense of belonging and ownership.
- I believe Town Government should serve all in the community, equally and fairly.
- I believe the people of Lexington want and deserve excellent schools and strong public services.
- I believe in and have deep respect for the professional Town Administrator model of local government

I WILL CONTINUE TO WORK WITH TOWN COMMITTEES TO:
|
- Assure that every tax dollar is used effectively.
- Seek new approaches to revenue enhancement and cost containment e.g. Enhance the value of our commercial properties to minimize reliance on the residential property tax.
- Establish a single facilities maintenance organization to care for all town assets.
- Strive to balance the needs for delivery of municipal and schools services.
- Continue to address Town infrastructure needs, road repairs, maintenance and renovation of Town buildings.
- Seek a Senior Community Center that meets the needs of our entire elder population.
- Work to address the Town’s affordable housing needs.
- Turn the design for the DPW building into reality to provide cost effective, safe operations.
