Welcome to the The Broadway in Blue Café, new and hopefully improved! I have streamlined things to make navigation more simple, as well as made a number of dramatic changes, including the switch from the now somewhat cliched black background to the more crisp and clean white. Hopefully these changes will make the site more enjoyable for everyone.
Why did I make these changes? I designed the previous version of this site over about 5 days in January 1998 and little had changed since then. I decided that I needed to reduce clutter and basically trim out the unnecessary elements, making things more concise and user-friendly. Here are some of the changes you can expect with the site's reopening:
- Improved and simplified navigation!
I have added two navigation bars on each page of the site in order to make accessing each area of the site quick and less confusing. A line of "bubble"-like buttons appears at the top of each section, along with a navigation icon at the foot of each section.
- A new JAVA chat room!
A new chat room has been installed. It is quicker to load and easier to use. You still have to have a JAVA capable browser (but if you don't have one already, I pity you!). So, organize a chat and make use of it!
There have been other changes as well which you'll discover as you travel about the site. The forum has remained unchanged, save for a few cosmetic alterations to make it comply with the appearance of the revised site as a whole.
Please submit reviews, editorials/articles and whatever you can to make this place better! I consider this web site a hobby, but with the proper contributions it can become a place for information and more. So please send in your work!
