JANUARY 2002

• January 11 - Dinner out for those people who have reserved a stateroom aboard the SS Jubilee for our Mardi Gras cruise.
• January 26 - Sports Club Party. Swimming, water volleyball, walleyball, full court volleyball, basketball, sauna, steam, tennis, whirlpool, racquetball, movies, games, snacks.  Near Springfield, Virginia.  We've added a shuttle from the Springfield Metro station, bridge, dancing and professional massage!

FEBRUARY 2002

• February 3 - Superbowl Party, at a member's home in Alexandria, VA. Good friends, good food, good commercials, hopefully a good game! Could the Washington Redskins play? If so, Washington's REALSkins will be cheering for them!
• February 9 - 18 Mardi Gras Clothes optional cruise aboard Carnival's luxury SS Jubilee. Depart Tampa, visit Key West, then New Orleans for Mardi Gras, Valentine's Day at sea in the Caribbean, visit Ocho Rios, Jamaica, and return to Tampa. Optional side trips, before or after the cruise, to Cypress Cove in Kissimmee, or Paradise Lakes in Tampa. Some staterooms are still available at $800 per person and up.
  This cruise is organized by Bare Necessities Tour & Travel Company. Discount staterooms available through Bare Buns. Contact us for additional information.

• March 16 - Spring Games Evening. Potluck dinner and fun games! At a home in Falls Church, VA.
• March 23 - Rec Center Party. Swimming, water volleyball, walleyball, full court volleyball, basketball, sauna, steam, tennis, whirlpool, racquetball, movies, games, snacks. Near Springfield, Virginia. We've added a shuttle from the Springfield Metro station, bridge, dancing and professional massage!

APRIL 2002

• April 13 - "Take the Shirts off our Backs" Tax Day Party. Potluck dinner, games, music, great fun with some of the nicest people you'll ever meet. At a couple's home in Springfield, VA.
• April 20 - Rec Center Party. Swimming, water volleyball, walleyball, full court volleyball, basketball, sauna, steam, tennis, whirlpool, racquetball, movies, games, snacks. Near Springfield, Virginia. We've added a shuttle from the Springfield Metro station, bridge, dancing and professional massage!

MAY 2002

• May 4 -  Cinco de Mayo potluck dinner, movies, games and conversation with wonderful friends. At a couple's home in Beltsville, MD.
• May 12 - Mother's Day. Show your Mother how much you appreciate her.
• May 18 - Sailing, Sunbathing, Skinnydipping on a sailboat on the Chesapeake Bay. Sail from and return to Solomons Island, Maryland.
• May 19 (Sunday) - Sailing, Sunbathing, Skinnydipping on a sailboat on the Chesapeake Bay. Sail from and return to Annapolis, MD.
• May 24 - 27 - Memorial Weekend at White Tail Park in Southeast Virginia. We've reserved motel units and cabins. We'll have special rates and a cookout for people who register through Bare Buns!

JUNE 2002

• June 1 (Saturday) - Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure in Washington, DC.
  
• June 2 (Sunday) - Sailing, Sunbathing, Skinnydipping on a sailboat on the Chesapeake Bay. Sail from and return to Solomons Island, Maryland.
• June 2 (Sunday) - SOLD OUT - Sailing, Sunbathing, Skinnydipping on a Catamaran (don't confuse this with a Hobie Cat, this is a big, wide, stable sailboat) on the Chesapeake Bay. Sail from and return to Middle River, Northeast of Baltimore, MD.
• June 15 - Sailing, Sunbathing, Skinnydipping on a sailboat on the Chesapeake Bay. Sail from and return to Solomons Island, Maryland.
• June 15 - Pre-Father's Day Cookout / Potluck, Volleyball, Swimming, Sunning, Horseshoes, Croquet and Badminton, at a lovely private home just a few miles from Frederick, MD, Winchester, VA and Charlestown, WV.

  Bring your Dad to our day of fun. Can you think of anything he'd enjoy more? Less than one hour driving from Tysons Corner, Virginia.

• June 29 - Sailing, Sunbathing, Skinnydipping on a sailboat on the Chesapeake Bay. Sail from and return to Solomons Island, Maryland.

JULY 2002

• July 4 - Independence Day Cookout / Potluck, Volleyball, Swimming, Sunning, Horseshoes, Croquet and Badminton, at a lovely private home just a few miles from Frederick, MD, Winchester, VA and Charlestown, WV. Less than one hour driving from Tysons Corner, Virginia.

  Stay late and watch Independence Day fireworks staged from a nearby park, while Independent of Clothes on our host's lawn.

• July 12 - 14 - 27th Annual National Nude Recreation Weekend and Bare Buns' Tenth Anniversary Celebration at a Nudist Resort near Hancock, MD.
• July 13 (daytime) - Canuding on an isolated portion of a serene river in Western MD.
• July 13 (evening) - Pig Roast celebrating Bare Buns' Tenth Anniversary. At a private Nudist Resort near Hancock, MD.

• July 13 - Sailing, Sunbathing, Skinnydipping on a sailboat on the Chesapeake Bay. Sail from and return to Solomons Island, Maryland.

• August 10 - Sailing, Sunbathing, Skinnydipping on a sailboat on the Chesapeake Bay. Sail from and return to Solomons Island, Maryland.
• August 10 - Sailing, Sunbathing, Skinnydipping on a Catamaran (don't confuse this with a Hobie Cat, this is a big, wide, stable sailboat) on the Chesapeake Bay. Depart Middle River, east of Baltimore, MD, at 2 PM, return about 9 PM.

• August 11 (Sunday) - Sailing, Sunbathing, Skinnydipping on a sailboat on the Chesapeake Bay. Sail from and return to Coles Point, Virginia (straight east from Fredericksburg, at the mouth of the Potomac River).
• August 17 - Sailing, Sunbathing, Skinnydipping on a catamaran (don't confuse this with a Hobie Cat, this is a wide, stable sailboat) on the Chesapeake Bay. Sail from and return to Mayo, MD.
• August 17 - CANCELLED DUE TO EMPLOYMENT OBLIGATION (our skipper has a new job) - Sunning, Sailing, Skinnydipping on a Catamaran (don't confuse this with a Hobie Cat, this is a very big, wide, stable sailboat) on the Chesapeake Bay. Sail from and return to Deale, MD.
• August 24 -Sailing, Sunbathing, Skinnydipping on a sailboat on the Chesapeake Bay. Sail from and return to Solomons Island, Maryland.
• August 31 - Sailing, Sunbathing, Skinnydipping on a sailboat on the Chesapeake Bay. Sail from and return to Coles Point, Virginia (straight east from Fredericksburg).

SEPTEMBER 2002

• Sept 7 - Sailing, Sunbathing, Skinnydipping on a sailboat on the Chesapeake Bay. Sail from and return to Solomons Island, Maryland.
• Sept 6, 7, 8 - Superbowl of Nude Volleyball XXXII! A three day volleyball extravaganza at a Nudist resort in Western Pennsylvania. Bare Buns will send our team, the Pants-Free Pack. You can join our volleyball group by clicking here .
• Sept 14 - Sailing, Sunbathing, Skinnydipping on a Catamaran (don't confuse this with a Hobie Cat, this is a big, wide, stable sailboat) on the Chesapeake Bay. Depart and return to Middle River, on the east edge of Baltimore.
• Sept 21 - Sailing, Sunbathing, Skinnydipping on a sailboat on the Chesapeake Bay. Sail from and return to Solomons Island, Maryland.

OCTOBER 2002

• Oct 5 - Sailing, Sunbathing, Skinnydipping on a sailboat on the Chesapeake Bay. Sail from and return to Solomons Island, Maryland.
• Oct 5 - Rec Center Party. Swimming, water volleyball, walleyball, full court volleyball, basketball, sauna, steam, tennis with a professionally led clinic, whirlpool, racquetball, movies, games, snacks. Near Springfield, Virginia.

  We've added a shuttle from (and back to) the Springfield Metro station. Other recent additions include a tennis clinic, bridge, dancing and professional massage therapy. Beginning at this party, we will reserve some time on the full court for our volleyball team to practice. Water volleyball and walleyball remain available to all, at any time. At this event, Bare Buns will receive two awards for Public Relations / Community Outreach, from AANR-East (formerly the Eastern Sunbathing Association).

• Oct 12 - Sailing, Sunbathing, Skinnydipping on a Catamaran (don't confuse this with a Hobie Cat, this is a big, wide, stable sailboat) on the Chesapeake Bay. Depart and return to Middle River, on the east edge of Baltimore.
• Oct 26 - Halloween Costume Party. Wear your Scariest / Cleverest/ Prettiest/ Most Creative outfit. At a big old mansion in the graveyard at Beltsville, MD.
• Oct 27 (Sunday) - Bare Buns will be honored by the American Association for Nude Recreation, for our participation on the Kojo Nnamdi Show on National Public Radio. At Avalon, in nearby West Virginia. Kojo is invited, we hope to have more details soon.

NOVEMBER 2002

• Nov 2 - Dangling Chad Rec Center Party! We'll find this guy named Chad and dangle him from the ceiling with a long rope!

• Nov 5 - Election Day. Make sure you're registered, and cast your vote for candidates who most respect the Nudist / Naturist view.
• Nov 23 - Early Thanksgiving Potluck Dinner. At a home in Rockville, MD.

JANUARY 2003

• Jan 25 - Rec Center Party. Swimming, water volleyball, walleyball, full court volleyball, basketball, sauna, steam, tennis, whirlpool, racquetball, movies, games, snacks. Near Springfield, Virginia. We've added a shuttle from the Springfield Metro station, bridge, dancing and professional massage! And now, we've added dance lessons, both country and ballroom. This month we'll teach Waltz and a line dance, the Tush Push. We'll have a demonstration of leather and bead working, and Mah-Jongg lessons.
• Jan 26 - Superbowl XXXVII. Washington's REAL Skins^© will cheer for our favorite commercials, and if there's a team we like, we'll cheer for them too. At a friendly couple's comfortable home in Alexandria, VA.

FEBRUARY 2003

• Feb. 15 - Valentine's "Chick Flick" party. The ladies choose the movies, the men endure them uncomplainingly and with love. At a couple's home in Beltsville, MD. A close-by opportunity for all you Baltimore people who have asked for activities closer to home.
• Feb 22 - Rec Center Party. On this special occasion, a very nice and well - liked couple, Kim and Gary, will be married.

  We have the Bride and Groom, the Minister, the Matron of Honor, the Groomsman, and even the Father of the Bride! All will be "dressed" in their finest Nudist formal wear, a one-button suit. And the marriage license, to make it legal. Kim and Gary's friends have donated pretty much everything else we need - a veil, a garter, flowers, cake, champagne, glasses, decorations, bubbles and music.

  Here's a problem we won't have at Kim and Gary's wedding!

  In addition to the wedding, we'll have a couple of new activities! One of our members is a soccer coach. We've now added FUTSAL (indoor soccer, with a softer ball) with instruction, especially for kids, and GOLF INSTRUCTION!

  Plus we'll have all the things you're used to enjoying - swimming, water volleyball, walleyball, full court volleyball, basketball, sauna, steam, tennis, whirlpool, racquetball, movies, games, snacks. Near Springfield, Virginia. We've added a shuttle from the Springfield Metro station, bridge, dancing, dance lessons and professional massage! And now, we've added dance lessons, both country and ballroom. This month we'll teach Cha-Cha and a very popular line dance, the Electric Slide. We'll have Mah-Jongg lessons and a computer workshop. MARCH 2003

• April 5 - Final Four on a 53" TV. Potluck dinner, great basketball. At a couple's comfortable home in Columbia, MD.
• April 12 - Take The Shirts Off Our Backs™ Party. Potluck dinner and family board and card games. Location to be announced.
• April 26 - TAX FREEDOM DAY Rec Center Party. This is the day you've worked toward all year! All the dollars you've earned since January 1 were taken to help the government grow. What you earn from now till December 31, is yours to spend as you wish!

  Government is inefficient, wasteful, expensive and it continues to grow. What could you have done with all that money? What charities could you have supported? Would you have put it into your kid's college fund? Bought your mother a new car? Fixed the roof?

  We'll help you try to forget how much you've just paid, by offering you a reasonably priced Rec Center Party.

• May 3 - El Cinco de Mayo! La Fiesta will be at a wonderful residencia and taverna in the sleepy border town of Beltsville, Md. Potluck dinner, entertainment Mejicano. Bring your sombrero, your serape and your guitarra.
• May 24 - Sailing on the Chesapeake Bay! Sunning, swimming, skinny dipping with a great group of good friends. THIS TRIP IS RESTRICTED TO BARE BUNS MEMBERS ONLY, since the US Navy's Blue Angels will perform overhead. Sail from and return to Solomons, MD.
• May 23 to 26 Memorial Day Weekend

JUNE 2003

• June 14 - Sailing on the Chesapeake Bay! Sunning, swimming, skinny dipping with a great group of good friends. Sail from and return to Solomons, MD.

• June 21 - National Hike Naked Day! Hike Nekked with us to an isolated, pretty skinny dipping lake. All day.
  
• June 23 to 27 - "SUITS ME" SKINNYDIPPERS' SAILING SCHOOL™ on the Chesapeake Bay! Aboard a comfortable, roomy 30' Gemini catamaran (two hulls, very stable). Limited space.
• June 28 - Sailing on the Chesapeake Bay! Sunning, swimming, skinny dipping with a great group of good friends. Sail from and return to Solomons, MD.

AUGUST 2003

• August 9 - Sailing on the Chesapeake Bay! Sunning, swimming, skinny dipping with a great group of good friends. Sail from and return to Solomons, MD.
• August 16 - Canuding (nude canoeing) down an isolated portion of a serene river in West Virginia. The river is normally (depending upon how much rain we get the week before) slow and shallow, with few rapids. Good for inexperienced canoeists, it's not very deep, dangerous nor challenging.
  Reserve your canoe early, because each year we substantially increase the size of our group (24 in '01, 38 in '02), and there's a finite number of canoes available to rent. This is a great experience for first timers — we'll give you enough instruction to help you get started. And yes, it's legal. Our club will never take you where it isn't.
• August 23 - Sailing on the Chesapeake Bay! Sunning, swimming, skinny dipping with a great group of good friends. Sail from and return to Solomons, MD.
• August 29 (Friday) - Sunset Sail! Leave Middle River (on the eastern edge of Baltimore) about 6 PM or earlier if all can get aboard. Head out, anchor, swim, eat dinner, watch the sun set. We're going to be flexible, attempting to accommodate your schedule, but we want to give you as much time out as we possibly can.

  We'll have all the things you're used to enjoying — swimming, water volleyball, whirlpool, walleyball, racquetball, full court volleyball, basketball, sauna, steam, tennis and a free tennis clinic, racquetball, movies, games and snacks.

  We've added dance lessons, both country and ballroom. Sign up for a massage from a licensed, professional massage therapist. And swimming lessons for the kids, taught by a member of a prize-winning swim team!

• Oct 25 - Halloween Party at a big creepy Mausoleum deep in the graveyard at Beltsville, MD. Come enjoy the hot tub, movies, games, dancing, electronic darts, exercise equipment, and potluck dinner with our friendly bunch.
