Bernardin Design, Belchertown, MA - 9/95-Present

Own and operate freelance graphic and advertising design business out of my home. Projects range from logo/identity to full color corporate brochures. All aspects of art direction, design/layout, typesetting, print production and press supervision are performed with accuracy and professionalism.

Artios Corporation, Ludlow, MA - 1/92-9/95

In charge of design, layout and pre-press production of all company marketing materials, informational brochures, flyers, product sales sheets and 2/4 color print ads, corporate identity and product logo development. Interface with outside vendors, including but not limited to; printers, service bureaus and publications. Coordinate all corporate identity materials for national and international offices, including Norway, UK, and Germany. Thorough knowledge of MAC software and operating system and pre-press production issues.

Laserpoint Software Systems, Ludlow, MA - 4/89-1/92

Responsibilities included: Coordinating presentations of MAC based graphic design workstation to prospective clients; Design and production of all corporate identity, marketing materials, brochures, flyers, magazine inserts and internal forms; testing and evaluating the latest software and hardware for MAC based design workstation and utilizing the same for package design/production for sales purposes. Worked with software development engineers to design graphical user interface for new applications based on the MAC. Also performed as an on-site Customer Trainer. Expert MAC user; including Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, Quark XPress, PageMaker and more.

The Communicators Group Inc., Brattleboro, VT - 3/87-3/89

Worked as an Assistant Art Director in all aspects of creative design and print production. Designed and created traditional page paste-up mechanicals for advertisements, brochures, flyers, and corporate identity for a variety of clients. Assignments included design/layout, paste-up, type specifying, stat camera work, art direction, print production and administration.

Freelance Graphic Designer, Brattleboro, VT - 1/88-3/89

Developed logos/letterhead, business cards, brochures, flyers and one-color advertisements for area businesses. Production from concept/design through printing.

Siegel Studio, Brattelboro, VT - 5/86-3/87

Assistant Photographer for professional advertising photography studio. Responsibilities included executing product shoots; product styling; processing and printing all format films (B&W and Color); lighting/camera set up; and production administration.

Freelance Photographer/Assistant, Hartford, CT - 1/85-5/86

Assisted commercial photographers both in studio and on location for advertising photography. Worked independently for area businesses photographing personnel, architecture and local events for public relations literature.

Areas of Study Include: Extensive studies in Photography, Graphic Design, Color Theory, Drawing, Painting (Oils, Watercolor), and Printmaking.

2éme Dégre de Français, 1983, Université de Rouen, Rouen, France

A full year study abroad. Program included french language, culture, history, literature and fine arts curriculum.
