Performances & Workshops

Performances:
With charm and wit, music and mime, Betty becomes a dinosaur, a stork, an old man, a young child. Her repertoire includes folktales from Australia, Japan, Cambodia, Ireland, Russia, and elsewhere, as well as from Native American and Jewish traditions. Betty also performs historical and contemporary stories, tales from picture books, original stories and songs. She plays guitar and sometimes flute. Her material is engaging to adults, children, and families.

Many of Betty's perfomances include four or five stories and songs, with lots of participation for young children. "The Blue Shawl" and "Laura Ingalls Wilder's 'Little House' Stories" are full length performances. Open the programs or Jewish programs pages for a full listing of material, click on the offerings below for descriptions by age groups and topics, or e-mail me with your requirements to betty@bettylehrman.com and I'll customize a show for your group.
