No! Really! I'm 39...
I felt really good today. My blood levels must be near or at normal. I'm very happy to be back to this point. I dealt with the heat very well, danced and feel strong.
Today I turned 39. I never celebrate or do anything special for my birthday, it just isn't a real big deal to me and I usually feel embarrassed to even mention it to anyone. But my good friends at work took me out to the Commonwealth Brewery today for a really nice birthday lunch! I even had a beer! First one since before the previous chemo week. This place brews some wonderful beers! It felt really great to be out with the gang and having a good time. I really enjoy their company, it makes working with them everyday an absolute pleasure. Thank you again, my friends.
Tonight, Yuka made me a delicious dinner! Somehow she seems to come up with something special every time. We even indulged in a piece of cheesecake! I think, all in all, I must have consumed 6000 calories today, but I deserve it!
Looking at everything today in perspective, I'm extremely happy to be here and in really good shape. I'm so pleased to feel this good at the halfway point of chemotharapy! One thing for sure, I'll never take another birthday for granted.
Well, there isn't much more to say except that it's been a wonderful day, I'm very grateful and thankful...and hopefully the year to come will be wonderful. Now we're off to NJ for the weekend, tomorrow is Mom's birthday!
