organizations, such as Scouts, church youth groups, and youth shooting clubs who conduct
training in gun handling, safety, and shooting skills, will be permitted free use of the
Ranges and Facilities ,will be at the sole discretion of the DCF&S. We ask that
your troop wear its colors - it looks great to have a Scout troop in uniform on the range.
Making a Request
Requests must be made in writing, for review by the Scout director and Executive board.
The request must substantiate the requesting organization's status, number of
participants, and training/activity to be conducted. This request will be required should
be submitted with 2 desired date and time at least 45 days in advanced. This will
allow sufficient time for consideration and approval, and scheduling.
Range Hours and Rules
The range is open to the from dusk to dawn. We are closed on good Friday . On very
rare occasions, we may be closed due to poor weather. We will enclose a copy of our
Range Rules, which you should review before arriving.
Parental Permission Forms
Delaware County Field and Stream requires that anyone under the age of eighteen (18) be
accompanied by a parent or legal guardian, or have written consent signed by their parent
or legal guardian designating a person over 21 years of age who will accompany and
supervise the minor. (This includes rifles, shotguns, and handguns).
You can print and make copies of our Parental Permission Form
for use with each participant.
Eye and Hearing Protection
Eye and Hearing protection is mandatory for all persons going to our range, including
those persons who are merely observing. For your convenience, we will supply ear plugs for
all and Glass for the shooters.
When You Arrive
When you arrive on your scheduled day, tell the office that you are here, and turn in your
roster. Our Scout coordinator or a Range Officer he designates will meet you, and instruct
you on our procedures and rules. Once this meeting has taken place, and any questions
addressed, the support person will accompany your group to the appropriate area, where you
may set up and begin your stay. You will be allocated a reasonable number of shooting
positions based on your group's size and the number of members at the range on that day.
Supervision
The group are guests at our facility, and must obey all rules, and exhibit proper
behavior. The group must be supervised by qualified adults in the group. Youth shooters
must be under the direct supervision of an adult Range Officer at all times. One
additional adult for every 3 or 4 youths usually works well, with direct one-on-one
supervision of each youth when shooting.

discuss this with the coordinator when you arrive. We also sell sodas and snacks .
