This is a web site for the new PBS/WGBH show "Between the Lions",
which is set in a library. It's purpose is promote literacy. The site
targets kids four to seven years old, but many more will find it fun

- Entertaining and informative website - engaging illustrations and narratives
depicting the most famous Greek legends. Nice on-line encyclopedia and a very
good "teaching the myths" section with some effective teaching objectives, suggestions
and strategies.
Great for teaching critical thinking, reading, and writing
skills, and utilize a higher order level of learning as defined in
Bloom's Taxonomy.
A really well done Canadian website containing links to authors
and titles. It allows students to comment on and/or review books they
have read and submit their writing to the web host.
Author/Artist Joan Irvine shows how to make a pop-up book in a
step by step illustrated lesson.
This great resource was from Kathy Schrock's site of the week. It
is a joint TEAM project with Los Angeles educators and Loyola
Marymount University and Pepperdine University. This content-rich
page offers tips, tricks, references, case studies, and assessment
ideas for teaching the early reader.
