Absolutely Green

There are many links to St. Patrick's Day in the holiday sites we've listed in NetNotes previously, but this site is worthy of inclusion by virtue of the great activities for kids - from making rainbows to decorative crafts and cards, interactive games, trivia quizzes and on-line leprechaun stories. An emerald of a site with Ireland links too!

Wearin' o' the Green at Kate

Another great site about St. Patrick's Day and Ireland with interesting information for adults and kids alike. In the "Computer Goodies" link, you can download screen savers, backgrounds, clip art, midi files and all things Irish to spiff up your personal computer or webpages.

Shamrock Lane

This is a collaborative model educational site that offers interdisciplinary (English, Math, Science and Social Studies) activities around St. Patrick's Day and the study of Ireland - geared for grades 3 to 8 - very nice.

Earth Day

April 22 - There is no official Earth Day organization as Earth Day belongs to the public. This site links resources and spotlights many grass roots efforts. The section "For Educators" is a good starting point for planning activities. This site is more appropriate for older students and adults.
