This is a brief biography about Wilson Bentley (Snowflake
Bentley) from Jericho, Vermont. He was the first person to photograph
snowflakes. The site also includes links that incorporate his
works.
Here is a neat site that has some gorgeous snowflake patterns for
kids to try. They can print out the pattern, fold and cut. The link
to the other more complicated patterns is great, too.

This is part of the "America's Story from America's Library"

From the Smithsonian, this is an amazing selection of presidential
portraits. The variety of media from traditional oil paintings to bronzes really
capture the individuality of the men who held the highest office in the land.

Women's History Month:
The National
Women's Hall of Fame - In 1969, a group of women and men of Seneca Falls,
New York created the National Women's Hall of Fame. This is a searchable web
site containing pictures and biographical sketches of the women who have been
inducted into the Hall of Fame. It also has a section of the history of the
struggle for women's rights.
This web site was developed by Gale Research and offers a large library of
comprehensive biographies, a timeline of Women in history, and activities and
links to other Women's history sites.

info. The Data Base of Female Ancestors can be searched alphabetically or by
