Camping Etiquette
- Follow the rules of your campground.
- Ask about your campground rules about pets. If your campground
allows pets you as pet owners are responsible for you pet. Clean
up after you pet.
- Do not cut or chop still standing trees for fire wood, use
only dead falling trees. Bring your own firewood from home. This
will save you money, however most campground or local stores
will sell wood.
- Burn only wood or paper in your fire pit. disposal of all
other items in there proper spots. Aluminum will not burn and
plastic stinks.
- Do not pound nails or anything into trees. There are hangers
to put on trees for your lantern that are cheap and will not
damage the trees.
- Use proper trash receptacles for you trash, and remove trash
when you leave your camp site so animal will not make a mess
of it.
- If you smoke, put your cigarettes out in your fire or in
some other safe place. Don't put out on the ground. Not only
is this not safe, it looks bad.
- Most campground have quite hours. Know these hours and use
them.
- If you like music please keep it to your campsite. Some campers
would rather listen to nature.
- Use the restrooms, if not bring a camping port-a-potti .
- Ladies and Gentlemen please disposal of your feminine hygiene
product and condoms properly.
- Always leave your site cleaner than before you arrived.
