Setting up Camp.

Pitch your tent on level ground.
When you arrive at your site you want to find a location that is relatively flat. Or select one where you head will be a slightly higher than your feet.

Keep to higher round.
Pitch your tent on a slight rise, not in a depression where water can build up. Select a place that will dry fast after a rain shower.

Keep the sun in mind.
When setting up your camp site check the location of the sun. You will want the sun in the morning for the warmth, and shade in the afternoon for cool.

Set up a camp where it's safe.
Check out for falling or dead trees. Set up away from these or remove any falling or dead trees so that they will not effect the safety of your site.

Light, and more light.
Set up your lantern first. It is much safer if you can see. Always have a flashlight near by.

Food Storage.
The storage of your food is very important,.You don't want any critters wandering into your campsite or any of you food to go bad. Remember all perishable foods must be stored in a cooler and kept cold and locked up tight at night. In bear country all dry food should be stored over head.

Campfire.
Your campfire should be set up a good distance away for your sleeping area. You don't want any sparks going on you tent. Always have water near by just in case. Teach your children to be extra safe near the campfire.
