***FISCAL YEAR 2009 GRANT APPLICATION DEADLINE:***
OCTOBER 15, 2008

Q: How does the grant process work?

A: The ABCC is one of 329 Local Cultural Councils (LCCs) that are funded by the Mass Cultural Council through an annual appropriation by the state legislature. Each LCC is required to distribute these funds through a grant process. The ABCC reviews grant applications from individuals, schools, and cultural organizations and after a careful review process we award funds to projects that demonstrate a local benefit. The ABCC also accepts applications from schools and youth groups for a ticket subsidy program called the PASS Program, which helps subsidize the cost of cultural field trips for performances, educational tours and exhibits. Please note that PASS grants require a specific PASS application.
