Service Points:Remember, each member is required to earn a minimum of six service points during the year to maintain membership. This page will be updated frequently to inform you of service opportunities as they arise. You can easily earn three points by participating in our main projects, the blood drives and sale, during the year. Use this page to find other ideas, or inform us of community projects that we can offer and post to members. If you do volunteer community service it is your responsibility to inform us of the nature of the service in order to give you credit. You may use the Volunteer Service Form (MS Word format) on this website, or see your advisors for a copy. |
1) Big Brothers/Sisters has been eliminated due to lack of funding from the United Way. We are looking for other charitable organizations that need help.2) Sign up for peer tutoring at the first meeting.3) Numerous community service opportunities can be found locally at www.volunteerlv.org4) If you are involved in Key Club, ROTC, FEA, Spanish Honor Society, or community groups, any service that you do will satisfy your NHS requirements. Make sure you document all service and inform advisor when you do something. Please use the on-line Volunteer Service Form.5) There should be opportunities to help with numerous Dieruff 50th Anniversary events. Listen to bulletins or announcements at meetings for details.6) All members are expected to recruit donors and/or help in some way with the Blood Drives and participate in our yearly fund-raiser. |
