Picnicking

There are over 2,200 picnic groves within the District. All groups must obtain a permit at the Permit Office in Room 608 County Building 118 N. Clark St., Chicago. Picnic areas are equipped with simple facilities: parking, pure potable water, sanitary conveniences, picnic tables, and trash receptacles. For your convenience it is suggested that you bring your own grill and fuel. For more options, contact the District.


Swimming Pools

Open: Summer season -- daily from 12:00 (noon) to 9:00 p.m. (Ticket Booth closes at 8 00 p.m.)

Admission: Is free. Children under 6 years not admitted.

Golf Courses

The District operates ten (10) challenging and widely distributed courses throughout the county. Golfers of Cook County play at a reduced rate with purchased activity card. Senior citizens and juniors {up to and thorough age 17) can obtain special cards which enable them to play at additional reduced rates Monday through Friday until 4:00 p.m excluding holidays.

All courses listed below are 18-hole except Billy Caldwell and Meadow Lark -- these are 9-hole.

Driving ranges are lighted for evening use during the operating season.
