One day in late 1998, I tried to find out the telephone number of a Fry's Electronics store on the web. I was very surprised that it was not that easy - the only thing I could find was pages about the "Fry's experience(tm)" and the fact that a web presence was low on their priority list.

Since late 2001, www.outpost.com is Fry's OFFICIAL web presence.

Anyway, in case you're just looking for the addresses and telephone numbers, here's the information.

DISCLAIMER: I'm not affiliated with Fry's Electronics in any way, I don't get money from them, I'm just a more-or-less satisfied customer.

The adresses, telephone numbers and store hours of the Fry's Electronics stores in the SF Bay Area are correct as of 1-26-2000. This is mainly because I live here and can update the data from the ads in the local newspaper. The information for the other areas is older (or simply not there), so I can't guarantee for its accuracy. If you have an update, please let me know, I'll put it up immediately.

The main fax number can usually be derived from the telephone number by replacing the last two digits with 18.

All stores are open Monday-Friday 8am-9pm, Saturday 9am-9pm, Sunday 9am-7pm local time.

If you want to find out which store is closest to you, go to maps.yahoo.com, get a map for your starting address, then click on "Find Nearby Businesses" below the map. In the "Search" field, enter "fry electronics" (exactly this way). You'll get a list of stores in your area with the distances to drive for each, and if you click on one, you can get driving directions. But be careful, as of 1-9-02, Yahoo had both a correct and an incorrect address for the San Jose store.
