CLEAR - Naval units may not enter clear squares.Return to the OVERVIEWof World Conquest.MOUNTAINS - Aircraft and Naval units may not enter mountains.
- Some units lose an additional 10 END when entering mountain squares.
- When combat occurs in a mountain square, all units, have their ToHit% reduced by 20.
- When any ground unit ends its turn on a mountain, it will explore and accurately identify enemy units one square further away (i.e. a within 2 squares, rather than just adjacent.)
FORESTS - Naval units may not enter forests.
- There is no endurance penalty for entering forests.
- When combat occurs in a forest square, all units, have their ToHit% reduced by 20.
- When any stack of units end their turn in a forest, there is a 75% chance that they will not appear on an enemy player's spotting report as "Enemy Activity". They will still be spotted normally by units that can see them directly.
DESERTS - Naval units may not enter deserts.
- When combat occurs in a desert square, all units, have their ToHit% increased by 10.
- Infantry-type units (INF, SPF, PAR, & MEC) have their endurance- per-square cost increased to 3 for each desert square they enter.
BEACHES - Submarines, Destroyers, Cruisers, Aircraft Carriers, and Battleships may not enter beaches.
- PT Boats and Transports may enter Beaches. By being unloaded onto a beach, the units on board do not run the risk of being pinned and suffering endurance penalties.
JUNGLES - TNK, ART, AAG, MEC, CAV, & Naval units (except PT Boats) may not enter jungles.
- PT Boats may enter Jungles at a cost of 3 END. There is no endurance penalty for other units entering Jungles.
- Aircraft units have their ToHit rating halved when shooting at ground units in Jungle squares.
- When combat occurs in a Jungle square, all other units, have their ToHit% reduced by 20.
- When any stack of units end their turn in a jungle, there is a 90% chance that they will not appear on an enemy player's spotting report as "Enemy Activity". They will still be spotted normally by units that can see them directly.
RIVER - Most ground units lose an additional 10 Endurance when entering river squares.
- When combat occurs in a river square, all units, have their ToHit% reduced by 10.
- All units may enter Rivers. It is assumed that they have sufficient water for naval units as well as enough land for movement of ground units.
PRODUCTION CENTERS - All units may enter these squares.
- Any unit ending its turn in a Production Center has its endurance increased back to its maximum.
- When combat occurs in Production Center, the first hit inflicted by an attacker will be absorbed.
OCEANS - Ground units may not enter ocean squares.
