Victory goes to the first person to capture 12 Towns, Cities, or Metropoli, (not Villages) and hold them for 1 full turn. At the end of the turn in which this condition is met, an "End of Game Warning" will be printed at the top of all turns. If that same player meets these conditions at the end of the next turn, the player will be declared the winner and the game will end. If more than one player fulfills the victory conditions, then other factors will be used as tie-breakers, namely: Total Towns/Cities/Metropoli, Number of Villages, Total build steps, and Total number of units, in that order. A typical game of World Conquest will reach this point in around 25-35 turns.
HEAD-TO-HEAD GAMES: (2 player game)
There are three ways to win a H2H game. Victory goes to the the player who captures ALL the production centers. This will eliminate the other player from the map, and the game will be over. If a player wishes to concede, he/she may do so by saving the game using the "RESIGN" option and the game will end, crediting the other player with a Victory! The third method of deciding victory is to be the LAST player to submit a turn in the past 30 days. If the game has not processed for 30 days, the computer will check to see if one or the other player submitted a turn. The player who submitted the turn will be credited with the victory and the game will be over!
