first wednesday of the month hiphop jazz poetry
other wednesdays poetry slam (contest)

fridays at 10pm poetry evening:
guest poet
then poetry slam
then open mike ~1:00am

nuyorican is an amazing place – sweet energy and amazing performers; don't even come for my sake

(if you've ever seen that crazy guy Poet on HBO's Oz series, you'll have somewhat of an idea of what to expect)
