I have visited many places with my dolls over the past 20 years and met a lot of different people. When dolls are the focus, there is always something to talk about. The one lament I hear over and over is that one-of-a-kind dolls are just for serious collectors because the prices are steep.
A few years ago, when my daughter, Susan, became interested in dolls, she came up to me while I was making a doll for a client and said, "Mommy, can you make me a doll that I can put on my dresser?" I thought about it and realized that I had a house full of dolls, but not one she could call her own. Sometime later, when I had the time, I made her a doll that was a little bit smaller and a little bit simpler in style. She displays that doll proudly in her room and when her friends come, she is not afraid to pick it up and show it to them. It has survived many a fall without an injury.
So began my "Little Sweethearts." They are made exactly the same way as their larger family of dolls. They are hand-sculpted from Fimo clay. Every doll is unique and special and all of the costumes and accessories are hand-made. They are made from love and affordable to all of those who will give them a good home.
