purpose of faction: to encourage friendship within and without the boundaries of the faction. to promote role-play (though not to the extent as to be oppressive) and teamwork between the races. to uncover the secrets behind the world of Atriana and its inhabitants.

membership requirements: avatars of all races are welcome. however, receiving membership into sin is quite tough - after a period of time spent with members, the members will vote or in another manner give their opinion about the prospective member. the applicant must receive at least 90% approval.

location of home base: currently undecided, for not enough information is provided. yet, we will most likely base ourselves in a central point, for easy access from all races.

recent history: sin is actually a sect of another gaming group formed in 1995. We, as the gaming group, have been based on a number of games, including multiplayer battletech, ultima online, myth, myth 2, diablo, tanarus, and our current home: everquest. we wish to form a sect on atriarch, co-existing with our current sect on everquest.

as for the history related to the world of Atriana:
Ancient, nearly forgotten stories tell of a group of friends - one from each race - who foresaw the coming of the Torpor storm, even before the construction of the Veil. The group quibbled not over the matters of race or culture. Driven by their friendship and a common need, they tapped into the planet of Atriana and were able to drive away the Torpor storm. Inspired by the experience, they formed a group to delve into the mysteries of the planet. How exactly did they drive away the storm? The secret has been lost, but perhaps one will catch a glimpse when the introduction movie appears on the Sin page.

allies/enemies: we currently have no public affiliations. however, sin will seek to make allies, but no enemies.

code of conduct:

sin lives by an ancient code. to betray it is to betray one's fellow faction-mates. such betrayal comes at a heavy cost.
a member is sworn to valor and shall demonstrate unyieldingcourage on the field.
his heart knows only virtue.
he shall strive to show courtesy to others.
he demonstrates proper conduct - even to enemies.
a member always behaves with dignity.
his word speaks only the truth.
once a member's word is given,it shall be kept.
members are honorable and as such will always conduct themselves with integrity, regardless of the circumstances.
members retain humility in spirit and action.

game design concept:

inter-species interaction. with the number of species in Atriana, virtual or perceived racism or prejudice is bound to occur. such obstacles lead to a very inefficient system of getting things done. sin will study such obstacles and attempt to invent effective means of nullifying them.
