DYNO RESULTS

On May 1st 2002, I went to Springfield Motorsports for a few dyno pulls and came away with 602.8 RWHP @4800 and 740.0 RWTQ @3800 RPMs with 18 psi of boost. I had 85/99 jetting and my EGT meter went no higher than 1450. I did have a wideband A/F reading of 12.5 throughout the pull. The dyno run was stopped at 5300 due to no more power being produced. I can credit that to the E-303 cam falling off. Until I can obtain money for a A4 or R302 block, I will stay away from the dyno to save what I have (which is nothing).
On April 19, 2001 I took my car to Woodbridge DynoTech for a session. It made 523 RWHP and 586 RWTQ with 14 psi and the pull was only up to 4900 RPM's. That pull was with 8 degrees of timing, 24 up top and EGT was 1415. I did make a pull up to 20 psi my EGT was 1488. The A/F with the 14 psi pull was 11:75.1 and the 20 psi pull was 12:3.1
The dyno computer was having some type of problem getting readings from my car because it didn't even register the 20 psi pull at all. On the 14 psi pull up to 4900 RPM's, the run was stopped because the map was going crazy on the screen. I was a little hesitant that my car made that kind of power at first. Thinking either the computer was really not giving an accurate or was it really making that much. Well the track told me that it was by the MPH.
I should be going back to the dyno sometime around when I plan on going back to the track. So stay tuned.
