Description:
Two-story A-frame of 1,100 square feet, with large deck. Main floor has living area, kitchen, one bedroom, bathroom. Second floor has two bedrooms and a half-bath. Downstairs bedroom and one of the upstairs bedrooms each have a double bed. The second bedroom upstairs has twin beds. We provide sheets, towels, dish towels, napkins.

Cabin is comfortably furnished, with a large fireplace, comfortable chairs and good lights to read, talk and just relax. Kitchen includes microwave, espresso maker, orange juicer, mixer, waffle iron, popcorn maker, bread machine, ice cream maker, pasta machine. Spices and non-perishable staples provided. For summer, Weber grill, with charcoal-starting chimney, fish basket and vegetable cooking sheet. Small stereo has CD player, cassette player and turntable (with old record collection). TV has VCR but no broadcast reception or cable service. There are many, many books, collection of old Sunset magazines and a variety of board games.

Cabin is at the end of a cul-de-sac, sitting on a hill looking into the pines, oaks and firs. Only one neighboring house is readily visible. Stanislaus National Forest lies five feet outside the back door, and you can hike all day without getting in a car. (Photos at the top of the page were taken in the forest behind the cabin.) The neighbors are very quiet -- and will expect you to be quiet, too.
