DeedMapper Version 3.0!
The best has gotten even better!
We've listened carefully to your suggestions and have incorporated many of them in this
new release. The result is a truly impressive program for analyzing old grants, patents,
deeds, and claims. Here are some of the highlights.
Windows compatibility brings a host of new capabilities:
- Color! Print to any Windows-compatible printer, including color printers and plotters
- See more deeds at a glance! Large-format (SVGA) monitors are now supported.
- Easily duplicate, cut, and paste deeds or deed text via the Windows clipboard.
- Keep several projects open at once! Use multiple Plot Views of the same project.
- Toolbar buttons make the most common commands just a click away.
- Click your right mouse button to get a menu of the most relevant commands at any point.
- Any of your system’s fonts can be used in map or deed annotations.
- Full online help, with index and search capabilty, is built in.
- And DeedMapper now installs as a standard Windows application.
More beautiful deed maps than ever!
- Import scanned maps or other background images (BMP, TIFF, JPEG formats) into your project. You can also output any view as a graphic file in any of those formats!
- Rotate the names of creeks so they follow their meanders.
- Fill your plots with customizable colors. You’ve also got easier control of line width, colors, and fonts than ever before, including map and background colors. Corners can be automatically numbered or lettered. And, of course, you can print your beautiful deed maps on your color printer.
Key improvements make mapping and analysis easier than ever!
- The Display command is much more powerful. Combine corners & lines, for example, in a single display, or display the corner descriptions on several items at once. You can even define your own customized multi-line Label to appear in the center of each parcel!
- The Table View is greatly improved. Its columns can now be resized and the entire view sorted by any column, so it’s easy to make alphabetical indexes by grantor or grantee, or indexes by date. You can now ask for the actual area of each parcel to be listed. Deeds can be repositioned in the Table View by simple cutting and pasting.
- Read the latitude and longitude of any point on a map. Measure the direction and distance between any two points.
- The Deed Filter can now automatically identify a deed’s likely neighbors.
And, of course, Version 3.0 is fully compatible with earlier versions of DeedMapper.
