22 Aug 1793 - Lewis Broyles is sworn onto a Greene Co. jury. This date he also buys 327 & 100 acres of land from Samuel Beard. {Burgner, 153, 155, 156}

Feb 1794 - He is appointed overseer of a road from Washington County line to Camp Creek bridge. {Burgner, 166}

17 Jul 1794 - No. 1302, Lewis Broyles was granted 450 acres on the waters of Horse Creek, N.C., south side of Nolachucky River, adjoining himself, Hughes, Williamson, Baker. {Burgner, "Land", 477}

Aug 1794 - Lewis sits on fall court. He is one of the group charged with laying a road from Greeneville to Blue Springs. {Burgner, 178}

Nov 1794 - He is one of many who report on a road from Greeneville to Thomas Woolsey's. {Burgner, 184}

May 1795 - Ditto on road from Greeneville to the county line near Campbell's Mill. {Burgner, 200}

19 Apr 1796 - Lewis frees a slave girl, Agnes Broddy, for the sum of $300 paid by her free mother, Katherine Broddy. {Burgner, 236}

May 1796 - He is named to another road committee.

11 Oct 1803 - Lewis writes his will. Greene Co., Tenn.

22 Oct 1804 - Alexander Prather, Thomas Prather, and John Broyle are witnesses to the probate. {2JKB129} Wife Mary and son James are named executors.
