1826 - Elisha is found on the tax lists of Whitley Co., KY. He remains on the list through 1849. At the time of his death in early 1850, he owned 560 acres of land on Marsh Ck. He was also paying taxes on 150 acres on Jelico Creek for the heirs of James Parkes who died prior to 1838.

1850 - Sarah Stevens pays taxes.

18 Feb 1850 - The undated will of Elisha Stephens is proven in court and recorded. Witnesses to the will were Solomon Stephens, Uriah Parkes, and Joshua Stephens.
