"Conrad Breyel, citizen and farmer of this place, who fell down from atop a crabapple tree and broke his back, yet lived 5 days, his age 51 years less 8 weeks."

This interpretation is not clear cut, with some translators preferring "who fell down over a crabapple tree". This version does not make sense in that it is hard to break one's back by tripping over a tree.
