distinguished gentleman. Bass/Baritone. Rose Benedict Actress singer, dancer -- late 20's
or early 30's; soft-spoken, sweet quality. Soprano with
strong belt. Charles Winfield 40's - 50's; the family's friend;
British accent, proper speaking conservative. Must sing and
narrate. Baritone. Flora Roundtree Actress singer, dancer -- late 20's
or early 30's; feisty, strong, sarcastic and fun. Alto or
mezzo - with strong belt. Vinnie Millwater Actor singer, dancer -- late 20's
or early 30's; great, funny accent, accommodating with
clowning ability. Tenor. Lucie O'hair Actress singer, dancer -- early
20's -- feisty, flirtatious, free-spirited. Alto with strong
belt. Must tap. Mrs. O'hair 50 - 55; conservative, always in
charge. Jacques Warren Late 20's or early 30's;
bodybuilder, virile, handsome. Must sing and
dance. Jan, Flora's nephew High school senior. Must sing and
dance. Ryan, his friend High school senior. Must sing and
dance. Kellie Benedict Actress singer -- 9 years
old. Brock Benedict Actor singer -- 5 years
old. Young woman Must sing and dance. Young man Must sing and dance. Dancers Approximately 5 men and 5 women who
tap and sing. Ensemble Roles Approximately 12 men and women who
sing and move well. A number of small speaking roles will be
cast out of the ensemble.
