New Play Development Program (new dramatists) -- Play development workshop's primary purpose is to develop plays (work-in-progress; unproduced original plays only) and playwrights, including music-theatre. 1) 6-8 week workshops or 1 play developed through 3-month process. 2) in collaboration with actors, directors and dramaturgs (work on play with non-equity company of actors). 3) culminating in readings and staged readings (2 staged readings). 4) VHS videotape of excerpts from play (extra fee). 5) $145-175 fee per workshop. Application procedure: script of new play or 10-page dialogue sample of work-in-progress, synopsis, bio and letter of inquiry.

Playwright's Exchange (supportive criticism and improvisation) -- Open to playwrights: Playwrights become members and meet weekly to develop their scripts through supportive critical process from fellow area playwrights. Could culminate in lasting supportive friendships. Weekly critiques. Financial arrangement: Annual membership dues of $75. Application procedure: script and resume. Optional discussion after performance with audience members, who complete comment sheets (no critics); unit set, costumes and props from stock. Open to: playwrights, screenwriters. Guidelines: produced or published writer. Developmental workshops, meeting weekly for in-house readings and discussions of members' works-in-progress; END OF SEASON SERIES of staged readings of new plays followed by period of constructive criticism and light refreshments. Financial arrangement: members pay annual dues of $100. Application procedure: letter of inquiry, resume and SASE for response.

Musical Theatre Workshop -- Open to: composers, librettists, lyricists. Description: new composers, librettists and lyricists work with established musical-theatre professionals to develop projects through meetings, informal readings, staged readings and full off-Broadway productions. Guidelines: completed unproduced work. Application procedure: script and cassette of music.

Rap Theatre Workshop -- Open to: young rap enthusiasts, musicians. Youth teaching youth to write rap lyrics, mix music, etc. Guidelines for instructors: work in progress; demo or published works. Rap Artist Exchange (supportive criticism and improvisation). Bimonthly meetings followed by period of constructive criticism and light refreshments.

Children's Summer Camp Theatre (classes and workshops to build your child's self-esteem, confidence and creativity). Application procedure: summer camp registration brochure is due out in mid-April. Guidelines: children should have a genuine interest in the performing arts.
