Doctor Who -- This Time Round Universe
An Introduction (well, sort of)
This section deserves a little explanation. This Time Round is the creation of Tyler Dion, after Kelly "Kielle" O'Guinn's Subreality Cafe, and has been expanded upon greatly by the mad people on Alt.DrWho.Creative.  It is essentially a semi-alternate universe to Doctor Who where all the characters from the series (and then some) pretty much interact with each other regardless of continuity.  The stories are primarily set (but not always) around a tavern called the This Time Round, where generally anything and everything can happen.  Most of these stories are written for their humor value.  The best place to start if you are unfamiliar with the characters and ongoing plotlines in TTR is the Unofficial TTR FAQ.  Also, a reasonably complete archive of such stories can be found on the Panatropic Archive TTR page.

To Die For (aka "Psycho Nyssa")
To Die For is a sub-series of This Time Round that sort of evolved out of TTR posts by Erin Tumilty, B.K.Willis, me and several others.  Actually, "evolved" isn't quite the right word for it; more like "exploded".  At this moment it is essentially an unmoderated Round Robin, although several of the principal writers in this series (myself included) do try to communicate their intentions to each other to minimize conflicts.

The basic premise of the series is that Nyssa has gone, well, just a little psycho.  Ok, a lot psycho.  As in, she has developed the rather odd hobby of killing off Adric in as many creative ways as she can think of.  But there's a lot more going on than just this -- weird forces seem to be gathering, unlikely friends are coming to Adric's aid, and (low and behold!) there may be more to Nyssa's actions than what meets the eye.  It's Takahashi Rumiko meets Doctor Who, and things are just getting weirder...

For a reasonably complete archive of the series so far (including stories by other writers), go to the Panatropic Archives To Die For Page.  A more-or-less current story sequence is here. (NOTE: Yes, I know.  This list needs to be updated)

A NOTE CONCERNING CROSSOVERS
This series is very crossover intensive, and several non-Doctor Who characters have become semi-regulars.  These include: Death (Pratchett), Ryoko (Tenchi Muyo), Wesley Crusher (Star Trek: The Next Generation), and Lucas Wolenczek (Seaquest DSV).  Other crossovers have included characters from Ranma 1/2, Tenchi Muyo, Babylon 5, Bubblegum Crises, the films of Kevin Smith, and references to everything from MTV's Celebrity Deathmatch to the wonderfully bizarre Sukeban Deka.  I usually try to put a note in at the end of each story for those references people might not get.
