The second book in the World Of My Own. Series took me to San Diego and Tiajuana. When Cynthia (the girl on the cover) goes to have lunch with her grandfather, she goes to "el otra sada", or the other side. She's referring to the US-Mexico border. Family members cross back and forth on a daily basis, sometimes just to go to their favorite taco stand in Tiajuana for dinner. I guess if you live so close to the border, itês nothing special. But it still struck me as special.
