O.K. I'm an avid cyclist. It's February in New York, and there is about a billion feet of snow on the ground. "Hey Dave, you wanna go to Los Angeles and do a book about how mountain bikes are made?" Wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee! The challenge was to make a factory look interesting to a nine year old reader. I ended up using lots of colored gels on my lights to make a grey wharehouse into a neon lovers dream. In the end, the designer and I came up with a fun looking book I hope my readers will enjoy.
