BGA Rules

BGAs have ended! The dates for the game 9 BGA cycle will be released shortly.

Dropping out of the "atmosphere" of the webpages we created to level with you guys; staff to players. BGA's create a "Catch-22" situation for us. We want the game dark, fast pace and realistic (well, as realistic any fantasy world with walking dead can be). For this you need BGA's or Between Game Actions. Here is the catch: you should be able to use Discplines in BGA's but we don't want major combats taking place over e-mail. If this happens then why would a player ever attack another player at a larp when there is a danger of being caught by other players. Answer - they wouldn't. That's the rub.

You can't have realistic BGA's without Disciplines and combat but if you have this, why would anyone do it at the larp. Hence defeating the purpose of going to the larp. The catch 22.

Our Solution is the following-

No BGA's will have Disciplines allowed in them with other PC's present unless the Letter below is included at the beginning of the scene. This includes non-aggressive Discplines like Obs and Auspex.

If you feel you need to have Disciplines active all parties in the scene must agree to this and the letter below will be sent out. Realize by agreeing to this YOUR CHARACTER COULD MEET HIS FINAL DEATH IN A BGA.

You want to get around this, use the phone or head over to "Monitors" a pub in Boston with an odd little man behind the bar. No dicisplines work in this place. Or simply state that you will meet but understand no disciplines will be allowed in the scene.

Rules for BGA's

No player has to participate in BGA's to come to a larp. This is extra and optional and is meant to enhance the larp not replace it. We do request that if you take a position in the city you should respond to the BGA's in a timely manor. (72 hours). If you can't respond or don't wish to participate in BGA's please turn down the title or appoint somone to handle these details for your character.

When doing a BGA scene please carbon copy the distantmirror@earthlink.net and the Clan ST involved with the scene. If you do not do this, the scene didn't happen. If you wish to use IM or other chat rooms for a BGA the staff must be carbon copied a transcript of the conversation. At no time will disciplines be allowed in an IM or chat room.

Set the scene at the beginning of the BGA. And decide at that time if it's Discplines on or off.

Scenes larger than 4 people must begin 2 weeks before the end of BGA's and must be ended by the deadline.

If you are interacting alone with the staff playing NPC characters the Form Letter is unneccsary and you may use your Disciplines. The Form letter only applies to player characters invovlved in an e-mail BGA.

"YOU ARE ABOUT TO START A SCENE IN A BGA WHERE ALL DISCIPLINES ARE ACTIVE. BE WARNED, YOU ENTER THE SCENE AT YOUR OWN RISK. YOUR CHARACTER CAN DIE. HIDDEN CHARACTERS MAY BE IN THE SCENE. THIS WILL BE YOUR ONLY WARNING UNTIL THE SCENE PLAYS OUT."
