Rick Blackshaw  This is great reading! Let me try to deliver my last two decades in a more coherent fashion than perhaps I did in Maynard a few short nights ago (rated by all a righteous event, well done reunion committee). Graduated from Babson College in 85, where I played a little soccer, and went to work in advertising in Boston. I then worked for Smartfood (div. of Frito-Lay), Timberland, Avia (div. of Reebok), and then moved back from Portland, OR to Boxborough (thats right, townie and proud of it) where I'm currently employed as president of a division of Sunbeam Corp. We make packs & travel gear for Timberland, Coleman etc. under license. As husband to Lisa, and father to our two sets of twins (Lily & Brook, 4 and Carson & Wyatt, 1), I'll answer the inevitable question poised in your minds upon reading this news, it was long odds vs. science. Still playing a little soccer, biking, etc., when not changing diapers or tying shoes. Have kept in touch with hooligans such as PK, Bruce, Dick, Ike, Rocky, Jimmy Burns, and of course my bro Tom. Would love to hear from anyone (I dig this digital community thang).

Donna (Boccio) Digilio  Hello, everybody! Yes, I am officially off the missing person list. It was nice being MIA for awhile! After high school I went to Middlesex Community College and received my Associates in Marketing & Management. After several dead-end jobs I landed a job at RNA Medical of Acton in 1987 and there I worked for 7 years as the Sales & Marketing Administrator. I got married when I was 29 and have two beautiful kids now. A boy who is 6 1/2, Danny, and a girl who is 2 1/2, her name is Lyndsey. I have been a Stay-At Home Mom since Danny was born. And yes, folks, I married someone from ABRHS, not from our class but the class of 1982, I will married 8 years this August. I lived in Lunenburg and Leominster for 6 years and now I resid e in Northboro Mass. I have seen many people from our class on and off over the years, some of whom I am still good friends with. There are some of you I still think about wonder what happened to you,! you were such a big part of my life...Where are you Vicki Kiezer and Lorraine Shea? .I do not know yet if I am going to the reunion, I went to the 10 year one and swore I would never go again, but we shall see. See ya!

Joseph Bouvier  Well, it's been a long time and a long road. All of the following took a long time . . . but, I was a late bloomer! Here's a synopsis. After graduating, I attended Boston College and graduated with a BS in Biochemistry. I continued at BC to obtain a MS in Biology. From there, I was off to earn a Ph.D in Zoology from the University of Texas at Austin but took a year off and worked for a private Biotech firm in Cambridge to earn some extra cash. At that point I was engaged to be married, needed to save for the wedding and needed a little down time from constant studying and school. I entered UT at Austin in 1989 and unfortunately (or fortunately, depending on how you look at it), after a year, the "engagement" broke down (1 & 1/2 months before the wedding). Needless to say, I was distraught, so I took a leave of absence from UT and returned home to Acton to regroup. During this time of "soul-searching" I found my true calling. . . medicine. I consequently, quit the Ph.D program and applied to Medical schools. I was accepted and entered UMASS Medical school in 1992 and graduated in 1996. I choose Pediatrics as my specialty and have been loving it ever since. I did my Pediatric residency at the University of Arizona in Tucson (my first choice) and fell in love with the desert. I have been in Arizona ever since (with a couple brief detours). While in medical school, I met my wife (a nurse - of course) while on my OB/GYN rotation. We were married in Novemeber 1999 and have been happy ever since. I did try a stint as a Pediatric Emergency doctor but, the pace was too hectic and, consequently, I am now a Primary Pediatrician working for CIGNA HealthCare outside of Phoenix. We have a beautiful daughter Samantha Michele who was born in October 2000. It may be very hot here (4 months of the year), but I don't ever have to worry about shoveling snow again and can go hiking 365 days a year either in the desert or mountains of Arizona (a truly gorgeous state). I won't be able to make the reunion, but look forward to hearing more from other classmates and maybe can make the 25 or 30 year reunion (if we have one). Vaya con Dios amigos.

Franny (Buckley) Kolenik   Though I usually despise these "Holiday Letter" type disertations. I am writing because I would truley be interested in hearing from more people. Maybe when they see how ordinary my life is (no trips around the world, or life-saving scientific research here), they will share their thoughts! Let's see if I can sum up 20 years in 2 lines....9 years working in the music business...left to raise son Calvin (7) followed by Aidan (4) and darling Maeve (18 months)..left the city last year to dwell in the suburbs (can you say Stepford?) of Reading..Hockey, T-ball, Harry Potter and Captain Underpants..."My God, What have I done".....Life is grand! (okay so it's more than 2 lines!) Looking forward to the reunion...Thanks to the committee for all their hard work!

Jennifer (Chalupa) Dowling  It doesn't feel like 20 years... but, hey, I did the math! I graduated from Concordia College/Bronxville NY in 1985. I immediately started my stressful publishing career at Lillian Vernon catalog (what an adventure). I held various management positions at NYC and MA publishing companies until 1997. Then my husband of 12 years decided to buy-out his boss (www.orientexpress.com). I then decided to pursue my part-time hobby as a full-time venture (www.seasidepress.com). That hobby was desktop publishing. Today I run a company that provides typesetting and networking services. Additionally I provide advertising services (the catalog) for my husband's business. We live on the south shore of Long Island, but we have family in MA and NH and are up there pretty regularly. We have no kids but an exciting lifestyle of extensive travel to motorcycle drag races and road races for my husband's business. Life's NOT dull. Looking forward to catching up!

Barbara (Cobb) Walker   I just finished reading what everyone wrote. It's hard to believe that I haven't talked to one person from our class, other than some that are no longer with us, since the day we walked off the field at graduation. I attended Gordon College where I earned a BS in computer science and worked at Digital until 1992. I have a great husband, Leslie, from St Louis Mo., we have two daughters Lillian (8) and Virginia (6). I live in Maynard, MA and I work part time at the private school my kids attend here in Maynard. I also am a leader at a womans Bible study in Acton.

Kathy Dobes   Hi all! I'm really happy that we'll be having a 20th reunion and want to thank everyone on the reunion committee in advance for all of their hard work!!! I really appreciate it!!!!!! I've had a great 20 years..... I went to UMass Amherst and studied Computer Science. At the time I picked that major I had no idea what a great choice it would be. I've been living in Cambridge for the past 16 years. I worked as a Software Engineer for 10 years at Digital, and then at 2 other small companies. For a while I worked with Kammy Orlando Burns - one of our classmates. Now I'm at Art Technology Group (ATG) in Cambridge building web sites (working with ANOTHER one of our classmates - Patrick Duggan). I've had a busy 20 years doing lots of travelling, windsurfing, skiing, photography, painting and taking full advantage of the Cambridge/Boston cultural scene. Although I've taken the "atypical" route and have never been married, I've been very lucky in love. Much to the surprise of my friends and family, it looks like I might finally breakdown and get married sometime this year!!! Greg (my significant other for the last 5 years) and I are starting to think about "starting a family" and I guess that means marriage is probably a good idea :-) I hope you are all doing well and hope to see you all on September 29th!!!! Don't be shy about coming! Who cares if High School was an awkward time! I think it is a great opportunity to see some faces from the past.......... See ya then!

Kristen (Favro) deNoyelles   I'm still in shock that it's been 20 years! So here are 20 years in a nutshell. I graduated from URI in '85 with a BS in Business. I promptly moved to the vibrant city of Washington, D.C. to take a job with IBM. I worked in procurement sourcing subcontracts for IBM's contracts with the US Navy. I got to travel and loved living in Virginia. I met my husband at IBM and married in 1988. We were transferred to Orlando, FL. where I took a financial marketing position at IBM. We have 2 boys, JP (11 yrs) & Shane (7 yrs). IBM was kind enough to let me have a 3 year leave of absence with my second child. We were transferred to Philadelphia, PA, but only spent 1 year there. We moved one last time (hopefully!) to Atlanta, GA. I went back to work for IBM after my leave. And now I'm working part time, from home. That way I can be there when my kids get off the school bus. I have a great job and cherish my time with my children, 2 dogs, 2 cats, and various other creatures. Although, "hectic" does describe our daily routine. I don't get back to Boxboro much because my parents sold the house 5 years ago and moved to a sailboat. They've been floating around the Caribbean and don't seem to be in any kind of a hurry to get back. It makes family reunions difficult to say the least! I hope I can make one last trip up north in Sept. and maybe even stop by Kimball's for a "Special"!

Karl Fischer   Twenty years ago, the perfect time was a night out with Bryant, Hyde and other assorted reprobates. Now its when the wife is out shopping, the kids are out playing, and I'm at home. If only my fellow reprobates lived close by.

Patricia (Fitzgerald) Murray   I have to say that reading the other emails has brought back alot of memories. 20 years is a long time and I'm looking forward to seeing old faces and remembering good times. I'm a registered nurse and practiced in many areas of medicine, ending in Labor and Delivery for 8 years. Right now I am "surviving" the highs and lows of motherhood with my 3 children (Siobhan; 5, RJ; 3 and Margaret; 1) and running a billing business at the same time, with the constant support of my husband!.. In my spare time I cater for Savoury Lane and teach private childbirth classes. I hope you join me in September for the reunion. See you there, Shelly!

Regina Gillis   I received my BSJ in Film Communication from Suffolk University in 1990. In 1985 I received the American Scholastic Press Association Award for Outstanding Investigative Journalism for a series of articles detailing the University’s illegal and highly toxic lead paint removal. From 1984 to 1990, I worked in and around Boston as a secret shopper, industrial camera assembler, restaurant manager, and graphic designer. I completed two news internships—one at WBCN-FM, working with Katy Abel and Matt Schaffer, working on drive-time news as a writer and sound gatherer, and on its news magazine, the Boston Sunday Review, as a talent booker; the other as a news writer at the now-defunct Gay Community News—back when reported AIDS cases in the U.S. hadn’t yet topped 25,000. In 1994 I moved to New York to work at the Hunter College Center on AIDS, Drugs and Community Health, starting out as its office manager and later becoming its director of finance and administration, managing some $3 million in government and foundation research grants and contracts. In 1998 I left Hunter to become director of finance at New York Harm Reduction Educators, a South Bronx street-based needle exchange program. From 1997 to 2000, I completed my MBA in Finance at Baruch College/City University of New York. These days, I’m the director of administration at the Treatment Action Group (TAG), a New York-based international AIDS treatment and research advocacy/policy group. We’re working closely with the WTO and UNAIDS, and were able to ease international patents, licensing and trade restrictions for antivirals and antifungals, especially in sub-Saharan Africa, and in establishing contacts in countries where generics antivirals/antifungals are manufactured, such as Brazil, India and Cuba. As an officially-recognized NGO with the UN, we’re preparing for the June, 2001 NYC UN General Assembly Special Session (UNGASS) on HIV/AIDS, the first such special session on a specific disease. We also do a lot of work nationally and internationally with Hepatitis C (HCV) and HIV/AIDS coinfection and comorbidity. Right now, people with HCV/HIV coinfection will most likely die from their Hep C complications, not those associated with HIV. I’m also trying to get more of my writing published. So far, my work has appeared in Gay Community News, Bay Windows, the now-defunct ‘zine Rock Against Sexism, the memoir anthology Queer 13: Lesbian and Gay Writers Recall Seventh Grade (Morrow, 1998; Clifford Chase, ed.), and online at Blithe House Quarterly. I'm currently an M.A. student in English at City College/City University of New York. I live in Brooklyn with my two cats, Thumbelina (10) and Mitzy (6).

Gail (Gordon) Becker   After graduating from Syracuse University in 1985, I spent the next eight years working in the public relations field for various health care companies within the Boston area. I married David Becker in 1991, and shortly thereafter we moved to San Jose, Costa Rica where my husband was emplyed by Dole's International Fresh Fruit Headquarters. We spent five years in the tropics, travelling, golfing, and learning our new native language, Spanish. Our first two daughters, Micaela and Rachel, were born in Costa Rica, and within months of our second daughters' birth, my husband had an opportunity to join a friend of his from Harvard Business School in a startup opportunity. We moved to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania where my husband joined a company called Freemarkets. In 1991, we had our third daughter, Caroline, whom is the only one without dual citizenship! My husband continues to work at Freemarkets as the President and COO and we are enjoying our f! riends and community here in Sewickley, Pennsylvania.

Pim Grondstra First, let me start off by saying that this web site has been put together very well. Second, I would like to suggest that the web site developer put a little parenthetical into the heading above this Info Sharing box - something that says "Do not click on the Share Info Link while you're at work unless you have some free time!". I don't but I did anyway. Let me regress for a moment ... The graduation party at the Grallert's was a blur. The fuzziness finally cleared up half way through my education at UMass-Amherst where I realized that electrical engineers used a lot of abstract theories. I then switched to industrial engineering which had more practical applications, finally graduating in 1986. (I did run into quite a few AB classmates at UMass which was great! A couple were even in some classes - Sue Hanson and Kurt Hamke) After floundering for about a year, I landed an IE job with a small company in Watertown. After 15 agonizing months there I found a job at Raytheon in Waltham where I met my future wife, Linda. Raytheon paid for my MBA from Bentley but then laid me off six months later. That's when the real journey started. Pennsylvania for three years and one son (Kees - pronounced case (dutch of course)), Georgia for three years and another son (Luuc - pronounced luke (dutch again)), and then to New Hampshire and a third son (Ries - pronounced rees (yes, also dutch)). So, here we are in the little town of Mont Vernon, working for a start-up in Manchester (hoping to get rich) with our boys, 4, 2 and 5 months. See you in September.

Mary (Hancock) Scully  I guess like everyone else I can't believe it has been 20 years. After high school I attended Johnson & Wales University for culinary arts. I met my husband there the second week of school and we have been together ever since. We have identical twin girls (13 years old) and a son (11 years old. We lived in Hudson, MA for about 14 years. I worked as a manager for Bergson's Ice Cream for a few years then went into bookkeeping for an Automotive Recycler (junk yard). Missing the food industry, my husband and I purchased a deli in Worcester, MA. We ran that business for about 2 years when we were offered the opportunity to own a banquet facility in Western Mass. We jumped at the chance. So, here I am in the woods of Hampden running a banquet facility on a gorgeous golf course. I am hoping to make the reunion and I am looking forward to seeing some old friends again.

Sandra (Haney) Twaalfhoven  For the last sixteen years I have been living in various countries around Europe. In Switzerland I came across Rocco Sgobbo who married a great Swiss woman named Giovanna. Eventually we lost touch, I hope they come to the reunion. Lizzy (Orcutt) Schaab and I keep in touch and she is still as funny as always. My husband John and I have two girls names Nicole and Danielle. We live in the south of Holland where I run a small catering business.

Sherry (Harrison) Hasche  I'm happily married. I have three kids ranging in ages from 13 to 11 months old. Prior to marrying I did a lot of traveling professionally in the Medical field. I worked with aids patients for Baxter Medical out of Chicago, and personally. Since having my son three years ago I have opened a home daycare and love it. I'm currently taking courses to Bachelor in Early Childhood Education. My family and I do a lot of camping. I still keep in touch with a few high school friends and I'm really looking forward to seeing others at the reunion.

Carol Hopke  Boy do I feel old - I can't believe it's been 20 years. Since we graduated I've been fortunate to work for some incredible companies such as NEC, Data General, Microsoft and currently Intel. I manage a tradeshow team and get to travel all over the world. Recently I was in Tokyo, Hong Kong and Beijing. Hong Kong was a blast and can't wait to go back. I got to climb the Great Wall of China and visit the Forbidden City and Tien Amen Square while in Beijing. It was truly amazing. I'm heading to Holland and back to Hong Kong this fall. All this travel makes it difficult to find the right guy to settle down with. I was engaged several years ago - but that didn't work out. I lived in Seattle for 7 years while I worked for Microsoft and moved back to MA in '97 to be closer to my family. All still live local and I now have 5 nephews that I can spend some of my free time with. Seattle was beautiful and I'd go back in a second if it wasn't so far away from my family. It will be nice to see everyone from our class and get caught up.

Leslie (Hull) Johnsen  Well, I guess like everyone else, it sure doesn't seem like 20 years have gone by. After I finished college in Massachusetts, I spent a total of 7 years in California, where I met my Norwegian husband, Bjørn. I've had two moves to Norway, and have been back in Oslo, Norway's capital, for the past 5 years. I've worked in numerous industries; retail, hi-tech, and publishing, and am currently working in marketing in the hi-tech industry. My jobs have brought interesting travel, and moving a lot has made me really appreciate my visits home to New England, and my friends and family. I look forward to seeing everyone in September!

Greg Lauzon  After graduating, I aimlessly drifted through several universities and random jobs, finally ending up with a journalism degree from UMass Amherst. I then worked for a year at New England Monthly magazine, which was highly regarded for editorial excellence but didn't sell enough ads to stay afloat. Losing that job, I moved to New Orleans for a year where I held a series of ridiculous jobs, including union organizer and overnight photo lab tech. While there, I was hired by the magazine I currently work for, FamilyFun (www.familyfun.com), based now in Northampton, to do freelance writing and editing. I moved back home in hopes of getting a full-time position with FF, which I did and which I've had since. I'm currently staff writer, and I cover lots of fun stuff — amusement park rides, toys, and videogames to name a few (which makes me very popular with my brother's kids), and I've even appeared on CNN, A&E, and ABC's The View to talk about various! stuff (on The View I commanded Barbara Walters herself to shake her booty — long story). While in New Orleans, I became friends with a band called the Iguanas, who were just getting started then but have since become nationally popular. I loved their sound, which incorporated two tenor saxophones, so when I moved back north I taught myself to play the sax. Soon after, a friend and I started a band modeled after the Iguanas called Trailer Park (www.trailerparkhomepage.com), and we've been playing around New England ever since. We've opened shows for War, Los Lobos, and Rat Dog, we've made four records with a fifth on the way this summer, and we will not quit until we're dead or famous. As for the reunion, I was seriously conflicted about going since I hated high school . . . I never had a problem with any particular person; I was just quite shy and never seemed to fit in. I finally decided to go after all and then realized my band has already booked a date that night, at a bar called Toad in Cambridge, and we have an agreement that once a date is booked we don't break it except under very serious circumstances. Frankly, I'm very curious as to what everybody looks like 20 years down the road, but I guess I'll have to hope someone takes pix and puts them on this site!

Karen (Leone) Cacciatore   I went to Dean Jr. College for Recreation Leadership after high school. Not knowing what I wanted to do after college, I started working full time at my family's restaurant, Leone's, in Waltham, and I'm glad I did. Because in 1985 I met my husband, Paul, while working at the restaurant. On our first date something funny happened. The song "I'm Moving Out" by Billy Joel came on. As we listened to it, we realized then that we were made for each other, because in the lyrics both of our "uncommon" last names are mentioned. "I call that romantic." Paul is a former professional baseball pitcher. He was drafted by the Mets just out of Waltham High in 1975, and had to give up playing pro-ball in 1985 due to a shoulder injury "rats, I never got to see him play." He also pitched for the Pirates, Astros, and Padres. One of his many accomplishments in Triple A was winning a game against Roger Clemens. "Way to go Paul!" In 1986 I went back to school to become a travel agent and worked for Garber Travel in Waltham for a couple of years after that. In 1989 my twin sister, Kathy, got me a secretary position within the software company she was working for. We worked together, confusing people, for 4 years. Kathy left the company to find a job closer to home. I've been with the same company, Metavante, for 12 years now and love my current position as Office Manager. Paul and I were married in 1990. We have 3 wonderful boys, Chris 9, Danny 6, & P.J. 4. We are happily married and live in Stow MA.

Katherine (Leone) Ross  After graduation, I attended Plymouth State College for 3 semesters. I then worked for my father at his restaurant in Waltham until I decided to go after my dream of becoming a hairstylist. In 1983, I enrolled myself in Blaine Beauty School and shared an apartment with Michelle Calderaro in Boston. In 1985, I received my Cosmetology License and worked for a Salon in Wayland. Shortly after, I found out, to my surprise, that I am allergic to a chemical found in salons. I then moved to Lake Tahoe, CA to live with my sister Linda and her new family. After 3 months I returned home, realizing I needed to be near my family. I then moved in with Karen and her boyfriend in Waltham and worked for Blue Cross and Blue Shield. After a year, I moved to Philadelphia, PA where I was a manicurist and stayed only for the summer. In 1986 I lived with my grandmother in Wayland and found myself a secretarial job in Waltham working for a software company. I was there for 6 years and worked my way up to a Marketing Services Specialist and got to travel. In April 1987, I went to see my brother-in-law play at a Chinese Restaurant in Maynard. I met Don, my wonderful husband, that night and I have never been happier. We got married in October of 1990 and have 2 beautiful boys. Devin is 7 and Kyle is 4. We owned a home in Hudson, NH for 6 years and are now living in Goffstown, NH where we have been for the past 4 years and plan to stay until the boys graduate high school.

Sandy (Manero) Durben  Wow - the past 20 years have really flown by! I have to remind myself that I am no longer in my 20's and have'nt been for quite some time! Anyway, I have been married for the last 15 years to a GREAT guy, Tom Durben, also from Acton and I have two beautiful children, Alyson 12 and Bobby 9...a dog, fish, a bird and an albino guinea pig. We moved to Stow (MA) 9 years ago and built a house with an attached in-law apartment for my parents. My mom's health was not very good and unfortunately she passed away in July of 99. Having my Dad so close to us has been a blessing. My house is usually full of family and friends. I work part time in Acton in my sisters salon where I am co-owner of Margo's Body Design which specializes in a healthy, de-toxifing body wrap. When I am not working I am usually at some soccer field or baseball diamond, driving someone someplace, or out walking. I just finished participating in the Avon 3 Day Breast Cancer Walk. It was a 60 mile walk from Fitchburg to Boston this past May. I walked in memory of my mother and in the hope that I might make some small contribution to the fight against breast cancer. It's been really fun planning our 20th! I hope we have a great turnout and I'm really looking forward to seeing everyone in September!

Todd Marsh  Where did the time go? Let's see...Went to Dean Junior Colege for one year (dorm parties with Karen Leone, Kelly Blakenship, Pat Mullany, Debbie Plitt, andI hope i'm not missing anybone else?), realized I wasn't ready to take school or life seriously and joined the Navy. Boot camp, three months on a ship up in Southie at the Boston Shipyard, and then the Navy sent me to Nuclear Power School in Orlando. So much for taking a break from school!! I then spent 4-1/2 years on the aircraft carrier "America" stationed out of Virginia and survived 2-six month long deployments. Went to the Carribean; Nassau, St. Thomas, and St. John. Operated around "The Grenada" fiasco. Went to all the Mediterranean coast countries (Monaco, Spain, Sicily, Italy, Palma de Mallorca, France, Venezuela), and the Indian Ocean (crossed "The Line of Death" during the Iranian crisis). I earned my "Blue Nose" initiation while we were operating in the fjords of Norway. Once again, the Navy sent me back to school so that I could manufacture liquid nitrogen and oxygen to be used by the aviation community. I spent most of the Gulf war in a terrible place, Puerto Rico!!! Got married to my wonderful wife, Heather half-way through my tour there. One month later, Sep. of 89', Hurricane Hugo introduced itself to us. So much for electricity and water for three months!! (There's no place like home..., there's no place like home..). So, back in 91' the Navy decides this guy must be untrainable and sends me back to school for two years to become an electronics technician on Gas Turbine powered ships. Chicago weather, the birth of our first son-Michael, and off we go to the west coast to Long Beach, CA.. The wife and the prodigal son move to Portland, OR whilst wonderboy, yours truelly, goes to a Frigate for 2 years until it moves up to a new base in Everett, WA.. Imagine going from a Aircraft carrier crew of 5,000 men to a Frigate crew of 200?!! Anywho, in March 95' comes along our last child, Tyler. Did two 6-month long Western Pacific deployments and deep into the heart of Iraqi coastal waters. Visited Singapore, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Thailand, and all the unmentionable Post Gulf War countries in Saudia Arabia; Qatar, Jebel-Ali, Abu-Dahbi, and Kuwait. Survived the day-long intitiation "ceremony" of crossing the equator and transforming from a "Wog" to a "Shellback". Finally, in 97' the Navy decides I am trainable and sends me back to Chicago-land schools to become a teacher. Spent 2 years at the Gas Turbine Hot Plant Trainer and was offered/accepted early retirement. Achieved rank of Chief Petty Officer/E-7. Spent 9 months as a Maintenance Manager of a factory that makes boxes for Nabisco and Dove soap. You would be amazed at the process of what it takes to make that silly little box that consumers can't wait to open and throw away as fast as they can! I realized that cardboard boxes wasn't my life long dream, imagine that ?!!, I now work for a Power Plant in central Illinois. My company, Calpine Corporation has risen to the challenge of the energy crisis and is rapidly building numerous gas turbine-fired power plants throughout the U.S.. We even have a web site you can check out. It is very informative. See it at www.calpine.com. Only my brother Craig, class of 80', still resides in Ashland, MA.. I honestly haven't thought much of the high school days until this past fall. I was surfing on the net and came in contact with Terri Sette-Stephenson, who was an old neighbor in Acton, and got me thinking about old times. I look forward to seeing everyone in September!!! Take care, Todd.

Margaret McDonald  After graduation I headed to Boston to attend Northeastern University where I spent two great years. I then transferred to Merrimack College in North Andover, MA. I was in need of a rolling green campus and the only green at Northeastern is the green line (T line/subway). After finally finishing my degree, you know when your transferring schools they never take all your credits, I decided to stay in the Boston area. I spent seven and half years at Xerox, working in both the Lexington and Boston branches. I currently work at Trader Joe's in their East Coast Corporate Office. I've been with Trader Joe's since they expanded to the east coast in 1996 and now the mid west. If you don't know what Trader Joe's is check us out at: www.traderjoes.com. I currently live in Boston and spend weekends during ski season in Killington, Vermont where I am a ski ambassador for the mountain. I try to travel as much as the wallet and vacation schedule allow. Hope to see you all in September!

William McHugh   I was a Naval Aviator for 16 years, 8 years active and 8 years reserve. I'm Living in the Blue Ridge Mountains with my wife Midge of 12 years and our children Ashley(11)and Will(9). I have lived in many areas of the country after leaving Acton. I have been a Pharmaceutical Regional Sales Manager for past year traveling throughout the southeast. I Look forward to seeing everyone. I have not made a reunion yet due to travel etc..

Andrew Miller   First of all, I'm really looking forward to the reunion! Friends of mine who've gone to their own 20th reunion tell me the women have aged far better than the men! Wonder if that'll be true with us? (I sure hope so!!!) Anyway, I've been living in Virginia, outside of Washington DC, since graduating from Virginia Tech as a civil engineer in 1986 (not including two years in Alabama in the early 90's). Until recently, I designed subdivisions, neighborhoods, commercial sites, etc... In January, 2001, I went to the development side, and now manage the civil engineering for the DC division of Centex Homes. My family is no longer in the New England area, so my visits are generally limited to once a year in the fall for an auto rallye. That's a blast, and I do it with classmates Steve and Joyce (Theller) Crosby and Al St. Lawrence. One of these days Croz will be my best man, but he's had two false alarms so far. I'm still single, ! but keep finding myself in long-term (4-5 year) dating situations. One day soon I hope to meet the right woman, get married, settle down and have some kids. Along those lines, for the past eight years I've been a youth hockey coach in the northern Virginia area. I can't begin to tell you how rewarding that is! (Joe Bouvier - I give your dad lots of credit!) There's so much more to tell, but that's it for now. I'm looking forward to seeing everyone, and might even bring the yearbook for another round of signatures (and a few laughs, no doubt). Thanks so much to the committee - this must be a monumental task. Please feel free to drop me a line at agm3@aol.com, and put ABHRS in the title. (I'd hate to mistake you for spam!) See you soon!

Patrick Nadeau   After high school I attended Wentworth Institute of Technology in Boston. I graduated with a BS in Architectural Engineering Technology in 1985. I hooked up with a construction company out of Nashville Tennessee that was just starting the construction of the Portsmouth Regional Hospital in New Hampshire. I was the on site Project Engineer. Before that project was over I met my future wife, Denise Blouin. In 1987 I relocated to Nashville with the company, which was bought out by Turner Construction. I worked on the construction of the new Nashville airport terminal. It was there that I learned of a Facility Engineer position with American Airlines at their new hub in Raleigh, North Carolina. I worked in Raleigh for four years, enjoying the perks of free standby travel. I even proposed to Denise on the top of the Eiffel Tower. Our first son Scott was born in 1993, just about the time American Airlines decided to shift operations from RDU back to Dallas/Fort Worth. We moved to Texas and I worked out of American's Headquarters as a Project Manager for the baggage conveyor systems. (The Denver Airport fiasco was United Airlines). Our second son, Mark, was born in 1995. The following year I got an offer I couldn't refuse and moved to Michigan to work for a conveyor company called Rapistan Systems. Our plan was to live in Michigan for 3 years, rent out the Texas house, and then move back to Texas and work for the subsidiary that Rapistan had just bought. Meanwhile I completed my MBA in Technology Management through the University of Phoenix on line campus. In 1999, when they moved the airport business to Texas we decided that Michigan is a great place to raise kids. I found a job within Rapistan where I don't have to travel, and can spend more time with the family. I work as a Senior Project Engineer in the Concepting and Estimating Department. I interface with our sister company in Milan Italy, utilizing their sorters in distribution warehouses for many retail companies. Last year we sold the Texas house and found a fixer upper on a lake near where we lived (Rockford, MI). We bought a boat and just have fun all summer long.

Cindy (Newton) Elmour   I attended college for two years, then worked at Mass general Hospital, as well as for different doctor's offices in the clerical field. I relocated to St. Croix, USVI for 10 years where I worked as a travel agent by day and had my own rock band (Sugar and the Canes) by night! Under the tropical moonlight, I met my husband, Lauren, fifteen years ago (transplanted from rainy, gray England) and we had a son, James (age three and a half), after we relocated to New Hampshire in 1997. I now work for a mental health agency, but will become a student again on Sept. 10th to begin training as a surgical technologist (operating room technician). I'm looking forward to seeing everyone at the reunion, especially senior year French class etudiantes and theatre pals! :) Let's rock!!!

Karen (Nohmer) Broderick   After high school I went to Fitchburg State College for a semester, took a semester off, and then went to Middlesex Community College for two semesters. I ended up at Plymouth State College where I graduated in 1986 with a BA in Business Management. I got married in Holderness, NH in 1987 on an island on Squam Lake, and had a beautiful daughter in 1988. During my time in NH I worked as a teacher at a private ski academy, and decided to go back to school myself. I graduated in 1991 with a Master of Education in Supervision and Administration. I was divorced in 1992. I moved back to MA in 1993, and in the fall of that year I met my husband. I was installing an inventory control system in a small lumber yard in Maynard, MA. They were short handed one day and asked if I could help out in the yard, and the rest is history. We were married in June of 1996. I currently work for Sun Microsystems as an IT Web Technologist. It is a very exciting and demanding job, and I love it. I've been really lucky that I've been able to do a lot of overseas travel since my return to MA. My brother is stationed in Europe and I have visited many exciting places! I currently reside in Lexington, MA with my husband Dan, daughter Marki, and our 2 dogs, Koda and Spencer. I'm looking forward to seeing everyone in September!

Paul Oka   After graduation I took 7 months off before entering UMASS Amherst in the winter of 82. Five years later and two majors I graduated from the collage of engineering and proceeded to travel around Europe with my collage sweetheart for the summer of 87. Upon return I proceeded to find a job at a small startup that was purchased and moved to Rochester NY 8 months later. Not wanting to move I landed at Honeywell in their office automation systems (my first software job). Around this time I married my collage sweetheart and we just celebrated our 12th year anniversary! We are now living in Boxborough and have 3 wonderful kids: Tom (9), Amanda (6) and Courtney (4). I continued to work in software development on mini computers, UNIX and finally PC's. This career path lead me to my current employer Microsoft, where I have enjoyed 8 good years in their consulting services organization. I am now the manager of a new Microsoft Technology Center! in Waltham focused on eCommerce solution on the Microsoft platform. I missed the 10th year reunion, but I am planning on making the 20th, I am looking forward to seeing many old faces from my past ;)

Liz (Orcutt) Schaab   I live in (or on) Grand Island which is large island in the middle of the Niagara River, just 6 miles before Niagara Falls. In a million years or so, my home and my island will no longer be. I have a great spouse (Richard) who keeps me grounded and happy - which I suppose is no walk in the park. I have 2 boys - Zach (8) and Charlie (6) whom I cherish beyond my dreams. Here is something unique: my in-laws are the best! We both run our own businesses, but somehow find time to enjoy the finer things in life - the boys, travel, etc. We still come back and forth quite often to Acton and Maine, as my brothers, sister and mom are still in the general vicinity. My father passed away 5 years ago as the sun rose over the horizon one winter day in February. It was the saddest day of my life. In any event, I am looking forward to the reunion, and am sure I won't recognize a soul!

Dana Pierce   After I graduated Umass in 85, I traveled Europe for 5 months on my own. It was great. I had a Eurail pass for 3 months, hitched, rode a bike, rented cars and motorcycles the last two months. I saw 14 countries, met great people. I came back and applied to grad. schools and was offered a Fellowship program between Manhattanville College and the Greenwich Public Schools. I earned my Masters in Ed. and was lucky enough to land a 5th grade teaching position in Greenwich. Taught 5th for 7 years, then English at a Middle School in Greenwich for 3 yrs. Earned my Ed. Leadership degree from UConn in 1997 then became Asst. Principal in Wilton, Ct. in 1998. I'm an hour from NYC and have two brothers who live there. Leon, who was a soph when we were seniors, is a musician and I see him often to jam and hang out. See you in Sept.

Debbie (Plitt) Carlson   I hate filling this stuff out but here goes.......... I've been marriad for 12 years now. Instead of having children (so far- I'm still young!?) we have toys. We bought our first sailboat 9 years ago and caught the bug. Right now we own a 34 foot boat that we keep in Boston Harbor and enjoy sailing and racing around the New England area. We have chartered and sailed around the British Virgin Islands twice and been to Europe and the Caribbean many times. Presently, I am working for a company in Littleton called Curtis-Straus we are a regulatory compliance testing company and I am the HR manager here. I really love it! After, going through a few carreers I think I've finally found the one I like. I live in Littleton on lake Matawanakee and told my husband I'll never move again unless we sell everything. Well, that's my life in a paragraph. Hi to all!

Al Saginich   Well, what can I say? I should be good at this by now since part of my job is writing. Over the past 20 years I went to college, got married, got a masters, quit the PhD program to work (a sizable mistake), had numerous jobs (Currently working for BEA Systems, a great place to work), got divorced. What else? I've written four technical books, the 5th is on its way and tons of articles. I've got two wonderful kids AJ(12) and Jackie (8) that I love to death and I have an absolutely wonderful girlfriend. I've been training Pai Lum Kung Fu for years and just love it. When I can I like to ride my Harley and my jet ski's/dirt bikes. The kids love it too! I've traveled all over the world (mostly for business), just recently to Salzburg Austria with a quick stop in Zurich. Generally life is pretty good.

Heidi Schmelzer   Wow, 20 years. I guess it's true that time flies when you're having fun. After graduation, I attended Bentley College. I received a BS in Management in 1985 with absolutely no idea what I wanted to do. Temped for a couple of years before winding up at a small travel club/travel agency based in Littleton (now in Portsmouth, NH), Hideaways International as the Subscriptions/Circulation Manager. Four years later, I decided to go back to school for an engineering degree. I received my BS in Electrical Engineering in 1996 and soon after started working for TRW. I'm in Kendall Square in Cambridge working with the Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory on the Chandra X-Ray Observatory. I'm the Software Configuration Manager of the data systems software and really enjoy the people, the project and the flexibility. I'm still in Acton and still single. I'm very involved with Church and several Masonic affiliated groups. I still read quite a bit, enjoy getting out on my bicycle around town, and travelling, although my "want to see" list doesn't seem to be getting any shorter. Looking forward to seeing everyone in September and catching up.

Terri (Sette) Stephenson   After high school, I attend Mt Ida Jr. College in Wesley Mass, after completing one year, I decided to move to Northern California where my parents had moved the summer of my senior year at ABRHS. I spent 11 years working for Great Western Bank, eventually transferring to southern California to be a Branch Manager for Great Western Bank, in Pasadena California. I left the banking industry in 1994, for a job in the Telecommunication industry, working for MediaOne for 5 years, who was purchased by AT&T. I decided to leave AT&T this past November to work for RCN Telecommunications as the Western Region Fleet Manager. I love the field and enjoy immensely all my co-workers at RCN. I meet my husband Edwin who is originally from Guatemala and we have 2 beautiful girls, Jena 14 and Bianca 11, and this past January, God gave us another blessing our son Joshua Edwin Stepheson born January 24, 2001. My family enjoys, soccer, swimming, traveling, and going to the beach. We also return each year to Massachusetts to spend a couple of weeks on Cape Cod at our family summer home. I can't believe it's been 20 years! I look back and it seems like yesterday. Can't wait to see everyone.

Rocco Sgobbo   20 years! I can't remember my favorite highschool song, but that's probably more a case of selective memory than the effects of aging. In fact, I feel like I'm in pretty good shape for a man my age and have plenty of hair left to prove it. A little over 12 years ago I was transferred to Switzterland and met a beautiful women with whom I instantly fell in love - no not Sandra Haney - my wife, Giovanna. Together we have been fortunate enough to see a lot of the world and start a family. My work has taken us for extended periods to New York, Dublin and Moscow and we lived in Boston together while I went to graduate school (actually Giovanna supported me). We have two daughters, Livia 2 1/2 years old (she shares a birthday with Billy -or should I say William E. McHugh, Nov 16th) and Carla, who is just five months old. We have settled-down here in Switzerland and I had more or less forgotten about ABRHS until the little yellow car! d turned up in my mail box. I soon found myself skimming though the "share info" thing on the homepage and wanting to return to the scene of earlier misdemeanors with the likes of Garry, Liz, Peter, Karen and Kathy, the B'shaws and Mike to name but a few. Alas, it looks as if the weighty responsiblities I bear are too great and I will not be able to attend the shin-dig in Maynard after all. Nevertheless, I will be with you in spirit and to mark the passing of this important occasion I intent to drink too much Rolling Rock. Have fun and drop me a line by e-mail from time-to-time.

Karen (Shuppert) Dudziak   Here I am, 20 years later, managing a three ring circus! Well this is how I got here. I decided to attend Indiana University, home of the Hoosiers, out in the midwest and graduated with a B.S. in Finance. Yes, I did swim all four years. You could say it was for the training trips to Puerto Rico, Hawaii and the Canary Islands which kept me paddling. During the summer before junior year in college I met my wonderful husband Jim on a blind date set up by Margie Robinson the matchmaker! (He is a fellow ABRHS alum class of '78). We dated for 3 1/2 years (2 long distance) then got married in 1986. My work experience which prepared me(HA!) for raising our 3 beautiful children, daughter Amy 5, and sons Blaise 5, and Justin 17 mos., started out here in Acton at the Concord Auto Auction. After a year I moved on to something more serious with Bank of New England then on to State Mutual Life (now known as Allmerica Financial). After 8 years in Worcester I became the Manager of Retail Performance Measurement at Putnam Investments in Boston. After 2 1/2 years I decided to trade in the corporate life for the challenges of potty training my then 2 year old twins (call me crazy!). Now I am a stay at home mom back in "action" Acton chauffering to those playdates, sports, junior garden club and dance classes. My husband is a member of the Lions, and my kids keep getting their pictures in the Beacon so officially I guess we are "Townies"! Looking forward to seeing fellow classmates at the reunion.

Cindy Sughrue   After graduating from Boston University, I received a Marshall Scholarship to do a graduate degree in the UK - that was in 1985 and I'm still here! I hold a PhD in dance, but left performance/academia behind to move into arts management. I have lived in Scotland for 11 years, working with a number of different arts organisations. I am now Head of Dance at the Scottish Arts Council (a government agency for the funding and development of the arts, based in Edinburgh , Scotland's capital). No kids (thankfully!) but a wonderful partner, Colin Lindsay, who is an artist (he works in 3D/installation and digital imaging). I still dance for pleasure and do a lot of hillwalking - Scotland has some fantastic mountains.

Victoria Taub   Hmmmm, twenty years in a paragraph... I went to Oberlin College in Ohio, which I loved. Not only was it a great experience, it is also where I met my husband, David Bacon (we were both on the swim team). We moved to Boston for a year, then down to Durham North Carolina where he promised it would just be for 4 years during medical school. Then came one year in Atlanta (what a great place!), then back to Durham, and here we still are 15 years later. After a brief period of readjustment, we have really come to love this area. You can't beat the weather! We have two boys, Isaac (9) and Alex (6). I was working in video based education first at Duke then at UNC Chapel Hill. I quit after Alex was born, and started to do freelance work in computer graphics and web design. This is before the web was big and you had to actually know how to code with html. Of course, in the beginning, there wasn't all that much html to know... I've hooked up! with some people doing web based environmental curriculum, which is fun, but the deadlines always seemed to coincide with family events. The stress was making for a cranky mommy. So I've cut back, and took a job part time in my sons' school as a technologist. I love working with the kids and the teachers. My oldest son isn't thrilled to find me lurking around the school. He is convinced I took the job just to make sure he couldn't sneak chocolate milk for lunch. Just an added perk! Life is really good. I'm sorry I won't be able to make the reunion. Hello to everyone.

Margy (Ullmann) Layton   Hi everyone! After graduation I headed out west to attend BYU where I ended up with a bachelors in international relations and a masters in political science. I had fun getting the degrees, including doing an internship in D.C., but ended up going into completely different work. I spent about 10 years in the computer industry, most recently at Novell, doing writing and marketing communications work. Now my husband Roger (I married a Utah boy, and here I still am) and I own a happy little bookstore called The Read Leaf (www.readleaf.com) about an hour south of Salt Lake City. We may never actually make any money, but we're having a great time and it allows us to take care of our amazing son Jack, who we adopted when he was just 24 hours old. He's now two--very, very two--and he is an incredibly bright spot in our lives! We'll miss seeing everyone at the reunion!

Tad Vanderwart   After graduation, I headed up to Vermont and attended Norwich University for ROTC and an attempt at History for a major. Not a great major if one didn't like to read a lot. Hence, I left to come back down here to go to Worcester State and Holy Cross (this time for Marine Corps option Naval ROTC). In 1984 I entered the Marine Corps for an 8 year assignment with the Reserves, while I tried to make something of myself. While I was with a furniture company in Worcester, I was called up into the Persian Gulf conflict. It was over kinda quick and I found myself moving to Providence and taking care of my then elderly grandmother until her passing in 1996 at 93 yrs old. All the while that I have been here in R.I., I've been employed by a local company and have been here for 11 years. Presently I am a product designer for QVC Television. Not too shabby, considering that I didn't get a degree yet. One should not take for granted Mr. Dow's tech drawing class as a mere elective recess. Actually it was what got me here. I'm going to the Reunion for the first time and am really looking forward to seeing those I know and those I might need a name to remember the faces!! We all know our friends from earlier grade schools and neighborhoods, so really this reunion is deeper than just AB. See ya' then.

Sandra (Wood) Williams   Well it has been a long 20 years! I went to hairdressing school after graduation and then right to work in a salon in Acton. I got married shortly after that and it did not work out. I moved to Somerville in 1989 and met my husband in 1991. We were married 5 years ago and we have 2 beautiful daughters. Samantha Joy 3 1/2 and Amanda Grace 15 months. I am now a stay at home mom who works part-time doing hair in my kitchen. I enjoy playing with my girls, gardening, walking, computers and going up to our "weekend" getaway in the white mountains of New Hampshire.
