Bio:  Different - an entertaining, rambling, dignified line is at the core of Donald Mulligan's art. It combines with a painter's love of color to produce illustrations with a strong, graphic appeal and amazing flexibility. Enlarged or reduced it produces great results. A variety of demanding clients have discovered its unique qualities - light, elegant, not cartoon like. Honed in his extensive travel sketchbooks this approach has been happily applied to travel stories, maps, posters, situational illustrations and design for a range of media. Mulligan is an exhibiting painter in NYC and an advertising professor at FIT. His work has won numerous awards from SPD and others.
