Our Moscow Adoption

Looks like we will be here until June 23rd. Our 10 day waiting period was not waived and as it's 10 business days we won't be able to start processing our paperwork until June 16th. It takes 5-7 days (usually 7) to get the birth certificate, adoption decree and passport. Oh well, I do like Moscow and it gives me a chance to practice my Russian. I've added some pics from todays excursion. Hope you like them.
St. Basils, built somewhere around 1540. Really an incredible place, but the photos were shot facing the sun and are a little washed out.
More pictures of St. Basils showing a little more detail. The pictures don't do it justice.
These are pictures of The Gum (pronounced Goom), Moscows answer to a mall. Difference is, it was built about 150 years ago, has three different sections that are each three stories tall and has a cozy feel as the halls are not as wide as an American mall.
A picture of the outside of The Gum as well as a picture of the Museum of Russian History. Trucks were removing seats from last nights concert.
Couldn't resist one more picture of St. Basils. |
