Antique Fruit Jars - Cohansey
Circa 1872 - 1895
1. One (1) 52 oz. size jar, glass lid top seal with heavy wire screw cage engaging helical glass lugs on jar neck (see picture). Hand made, ground lip, tapered shoulder in aqua with COHANSEY on the side of the jar.
On glass lid: COHANSEY GLASS MANUF CO PHILADA PA and PAT JULY 16 1872 on the outer circle, and PATENTED JANUARY 18 1876 on the inner circle with W in the center.
On the bottom is a large A1.

2. One (1) pint size jar, glass lid top seal with heavy wire screw cage engaging helical glass lugs on jar neck (see picture). Hand made, ground lip, in dark amber with no lettering on the side of the jar. Lid is aqua.
On glass lid: COHANSEY GLASS MANUF. CO. PHILADA. PA. and PAT JULY 16 1872 on the outer circle, and PATENTED JANUARY 18 1876 (looks like an 8) on the inner circle with W in a circle in the center.
On the bottom is COHANSEY in large lettering across the center and GLASS MFG CO and PHILADA around the edge.
