The Gem
Circa 1869

1. One (1) 52 oz. size jar, glass lid and metal srew-band top seal, tapered-shoulder round, hand made, ground lip with THE GEM on the side of the jar - aqua.

On the bottom in an outer circle: PAT'D DEC 17 61 and REIS' SEPT 1 68. On the inner circle:
PATD NOV 26 1867 and with 233 in the center.

2. One (1) pint size jar, glass lid and metal srew-band top seal, tapered-shoulder round, hand made, ground lip with THE GEM on the front side of the jar and the "H G W" monogram in heavy letters on the back (can be seen through the jar) - aqua.

On the bottom in an outer circle: REIS SEPT 1 68 and PAT DEC 17 61. On the inner circle: PATD NOV 26 1867. in larger letters with 234 in the center.
