Mason Patent Jars
Circa 1885 - 1900

1. One (1) quart size jar, hand made, shoulder seal with ground lip with the following on the side of the jar:

MASON'S arched over the "keystone", PATENT, NOV. 30TH, 1858 on the side in five lines and 114 on the bottom.

2. One (1) quart size jar, shoulder seal, hand made, with ground lip with the following on the side of the jar.

MASON'S arched over the HERO cross, PATENT, NOV. 30TH 1858 on the side in five lines and PAT. NOV.26 67 around the number 537 on the bottom.

3. Two (2) quart size jars, shoulder seal, hand made, ground lip with the following on the side of the jar:

MASON'S, arched over the C F J Co monogram, PATENT, NOV. 30TH, 1858 on the side in five lines and E 259 on the bottom of one and RX 640 on the other.


4. Five (5) quart size jars, shoulder seal, hand made, ground lip with the following on the side of the jar:

MASON'S arched over PATENT, NOV. 30TH, 1858 on the side in four lines and 44, 54, 183, 419 on the bottom of four of them and Moore Bros Glass Co. circling 24, Clayton, NJ on the bottom of the fifth.

5. Three (3) quart size jars, shoulder seal, hand made, ground lip with the following on the side of the jar:

MASON'S arched over PATENT, NOV. 30TH, 1858 on the side in four lines. The difference between these three and the jars in # 4 above is that under the arched MASON'S and above PATENT there is the number 21 on one, the number 24 on the second and the number 11 or an H on the third.


Mason's Patent                          Lavender Jar
Circa 1900-1915

7. One (1) quart size sun colored (lavender or amethyst) jar, shoulder seal, machine made.

MASON'S arched over PATENT, over NOV. 30TH, over 1858 on the side in four lines.


Mason's Patent 
       w/Keystone Jar
Circa 1895-1900

8. One (1) quart size jar, shoulder seal, hand made, ground lip, light blue. This is a beautiful jar with very pronounced lettering and full of small bubbles with the following on the side:

MASON'S arched over the keystone over PATENT, over NOV 30 TH, over 1858 on the side in five lines.

On the bottom is the number 8.

9. One (1) quart size jar, shoulder seal, hand made, ground lip, light blue with the following on the side:

MASON'S arched over the keystone in a circle over PATENT, over NOV 30 TH, over 1858 on the side in five lines.

On the bottom is the number 92.


Mason's Patent w/C Jar
Circa 1870-1890

10. Two pint size jars, shoulder seal, hand made, ground lip, light blue & cylindrical, straight sides with the following on the side:

One with MASON'S arched over an offset - C - over PATENT, over NOV 30 TH, over 1858 on the side in five lines.

The 2nd jar is the same only without the "- C -" under MASON.

Nothing on the bottoms of these jars. These are both very nice heavy jars with a wrinkly surface.


Mason's Patent Pint Jar
Circa 1870-1890

11. One pint size jar, small size shoulder seal, hand made, ground lip, light blue with the following on the side:

One with MASON'S arched over PATENT, over NOV 30 TH, over 1858 on the side in four lines.

Nothing on the bottoms of this jar.


Mason's Patent Two Quart 
       Jar
Circa 1870-1890

12. One 2 quart size jar, tappered shoulder, shoulder seal, hand made, ground lip, light blue with the following on the side:

One with MASON'S arched over PATENT, over NOV 30 TH, over 1858 on the side in four lines.

There is a large M 24 with a light double mold impression on the bottom of the jar.
