Steven (Kowalczyk) Santoro

There are few things a critic likes more than to discover a rising new talent who shows great promise. Such is the case with jazz-pop dynamo Steven Santoro. -- John Hoglund (Back Stage)

Produced by Ahmet Ertegun  (Atlantic Records)

He's a wildly accomplished blues-pop-jazz performer with a soulful  intensity and movie-star sex appeal. Mr. Santoro takes risks and lands on his feet every time. I can't imagine who his idols are because he sounds completely original. -- Rex Reed (New York Observer)

WOW!! What a voice! This guy can sing. -- (philip ward)

"Old," lyrically, is probably my favorite tune because it is bittersweet, triumphant and sad.  The words are very touching and quite meaningful. Add the music and well, it is hard to get better than this song.  -- (FlavoredOne)

Steve swings like a big dog. His voice can be husky, playful, and just plain tasty. His voice fits each tune like a glove. Some singers sound forced when changing styles on an album. Not Steve. Whether he's singing a slow ballad or an upbeat piece, he makes it sound like easy and natural. I wholeheartedly recommend this album. -- (FlavoredOne)

Steven Kowalczyk has captured the true essence of jazz and made it his own. -- (Joseph Laws)
