The Chicken Dance
At Ellen's birthday Party, when this song was played,
Colette jumped onto the dance floor
and got the whole crowd going.
I'll never forget it!

It's Been A Year!
by David R. Varg
bogey Bergman picture (18.5k)
...was 12 months back, I got the word
your struggle now was o'er!
Your farewell day: one year ago,
November twenty four!

I wish we could've said good bye
like Rick and Ilsa did.
To reach a state, resolving all;
with nothing 'tween us, hid.

'Cuz, there is still much in the tale,
to ask you 'bout, I'm drawn.
And t'you, express some thoughts of mine
but can't since you are gone.

But "Paris, we will always have!" Rick says
as they depart.
And '95--forever ours
I sense now, in my heart.

I still do wish we shared it all,
...got Rick and Ilsa's cue!
But...can't just focus on what's missed;
I'll take "1 out'a 2 "!

Inside my soul, you'll never die!
Your presence still does thrive!
You'll always be a part of me;
you'll always be alive!

And though you're missing, to the world
(you're face, we'll never see)
You're ever-present in my core!
I hug your mem-o-ry.

And all your visits, I embrace;
so much delight it grants.
I'll always 'member your performance
in The Chicken Dance!

And as I write these words, I sit
before that special spot!
We hugged and watched the fireworks;

so clear, now back, it's brought!
