I'll Be There

by DR Varg
a card which she sent me (19K)
Another card which she sent me

So much for me, you always did
and though this offer's late,
I want to help. This is my bid
to now reciprocate.

What can I do? Please let me know.
Don't hesitate to call.
If you need something let me show
I'll do it; big or small.

I care not, what the time of night;
I'll be there. You can bet!
At noontime or the dawn's first light,
I'm here. Please don't forget.

If you just want to phone and chat,
remember this old friend.
4.42K
I want to say, sincerely, that
my caring did not end.

'Twould be no chore to hold your hand
or just to sit and talk.
No matter what, I'll understand.
Stop in. Don't even knock.

And if a shoulder, you should need,
mine's always there for you!
'Twould be no problem; none indeed.
I mean it! Yes I do!

Perhaps to you, it's not occurred
I care about you still.
Whate're you need just say the word.
I'll do it! Yes I will!

I don't claim to be someone who's
got all the answers sought.
But I've two arms that you can use.
A hug might help a lot.

You're still my friend, let me declare.
And you will always be.
If I can help, please know I care.
I mean it. Count on me.
