The Ring
by DR Varg To hold the ring, was my request while my role...did perform. It clashed with how tonight, I dressed; din't fit my uniform.
My character...this night I played;
My nicest three-piece suit, I'd wore
And aft' I changed my outfitting
My garment had no pocket, and to hold it, I could not! But Col was there--put out her hand so, this, Colette then got!
I played my part; the folks...did greet!
This role was my assignment, part
But 'fore we could enjoy the Grande events of this night's fare I changed out of my costume and my modern suit...did wear.
Oh! This eve; wonderful, was, it;
And when it ended it was such
My thoughts, it didn't enter, 't all;
t'was time for her to move ahead;
had failed to give her that which she
Instead of her just holding it, So...offered it, this time to mean how much to me, she meant! Politeness din't just fill the scene; but love, so imminent!
So this I did. The offer made, ![]() But this wish din't occur, come true; she, once more, gave it back! Then sailed off on new oceans, blue; our love died with a WHACK!
But now she's resting on the shore.
So, she'll be in possession of
