The Wall
Is Now A Thin Veil by David R. Varg (7-20-02) | ||
|
For three years she was gone from me!
...just couldn't look her way! I had to plod on; let her be! My eyes, t'wards her, di'nt stray!
Her life was something I could not
and tried to focus on each day!
But now, permission I've received
It's like the curtain's rebuilt, new!
What was between us: this huge mass,
That Wall so Great!--of Chinese lore;
Our huge abyss; could not get o'er
'Twas hopeless, I declared!
And due to this, we could not meet!
But now the veil which us, divides
We're closer, as she now resides
behind the cloak of death.
Recall, I do, she penned a note;
David R. Varg (7-20-02)
