The Finish Line
![]() by DR Varg The reason for things taking place I'm oft' compelled to find! Like with the news reporter, the whole story must be mined!
And when the answers doggedly
I've two responses beckoning:
It seems a normal tendency
And perseverance does pay off;
And later on when looking back
to reach the place, like in a film,
But even though we seek this stage, this climax now attained, in life, the journey's different! Each moment's not explained!
My explanation-seeking though's
I wished so, to attain that point,
But...seemed Colette would never be
She is not gone; ne'er to appear!
And if she visits (she's been stirred
but present now's this twist! Whereas before, whene'er she'd strike she couldn't be dismissed;
the mem'ries then would cling to me!
then seems...out of the blue A change occurs...I find myself reflecting then on Sue!
We never know what's coming next
So, life contains no finish line,
serenity's restored; Perhaps this is what we've been told is faith's promised reward! David R. Varg (5-29-01) |
